Antibacterials, all the pros and cons

Antibacterial agents are intensively advertised, and their manufacturers promise that they will almost completely remove all existing microorganisms. Almost all modern detergents indicate that they have antibacterial properties. But is it so that antibacterial agents really carry protection or a threat to the body?

A serious study was conducted in the USA. It gave unexpected results, it turned out that soap, washing powders and other antibacterial agents actually do not practically protect people from the most common bacteria and microbes.

This study involved American families who constantly used antibacterial detergents, but it turned out that they also often suffered from various digestive disorders and colds, like those families that used ordinary detergents.

Such a study showed that actively advertised antibacterial agents do not perform the function that is attributed to them. Thus, we can assume that if they have the means that can deal with harmful microflora, then there are not enough of them in order to make a full defense of the body.

In the USA, today, about 70% of detergents are antibacterial soap, but, nevertheless, recently there have been more frequent cases of mass diseases of the population, as a result of poisoning that provoke “carnivorous bacteria”.

The effectiveness of antibacterial agents in the fight against colds is also being called into question. It is based on the fact that both the flu and the common cold, which are the most common infections, are caused by viruses, and they are known to be absolutely resistant to various antibacterial agents.

This study is the first attempt not only to study, but also to evaluate the effect that various antibacterial agents have on the human body.

During the study, some families were provided with a number of detergents that contain antibacterial agents, while other families were provided with ordinary detergents. No one knew exactly what means they were using. A detailed detailed assessment of the well-being of all family members who participated in the study was constantly carried out.

Throughout the year, the most common ailments and problems that the participants experienced were coughing, runny nose, followed by sore throat and fever, then diarrhea and vomiting, and closes the list of diseases with problems with eyes and rashes. But most importantly, there were practically no differences in the health status of those people who used antibacterial agents and ordinary detergents. However, if antibacterial drops in the nose are used, then they can effectively fight colds.

The results of this study immediately received sharp criticism from experts who represent companies that produce antibacterial agents. They argue that there are many studies that prove the high effectiveness of these funds. They believe that the data of the study are distorted, since all these ailments are caused by viruses, and not by bacteria, with which antibacterial agents are called to fight.

But then, if the risk of diseases caused by bacteria is low, why use antibacterial agents everywhere, when it is quite possible to use ordinary detergents?

Some scientists believe that the constant use of antibacterial agents leads to the adaptation of microbes and makes them more resistant to drugs, and this can contribute to, for example, asthma or various allergies. Excessive hygiene prevents the development of natural immunity. Therefore, the best fight against any germs is ordinary cleanliness.
