The drug "Roxer", analogues and instructions for the use of which we will consider later in the article, refers to lipid-lowering drugs. They are prescribed for impaired fat metabolism, accompanied by an increase in the number of lipoproteins or lipids in the blood plasma. This condition can be either genetically determined or be acquired, and due to asymptomaticity, it is usually detected by chance during a screening study of lipid levels.
Taking these drugs helps the patient avoid a large number of serious illnesses and maintain good health.
Which of the analogues is better
In medicine, the drug "Roxer" is considered quite effective and safe. So, it should be noted that the first positive changes in its use can be observed within a few days after the start of treatment (although the maximum therapeutic effect occurs in about a month).
But, as the instruction for the Roxer drug emphasizes, reviews (even very positive ones) do not solve everything. Indeed, for some patients this remedy for some reason does not fit, and they have to turn to analogues.

- microcrystalline cellulose,
- anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide.
No less effective are the analogues of Roxer's drug - the Krestor and Atoris medicines. They have a similar principle of action, but at the same time in the means of "Roxer" and "Crestor" the same main active substance, and the drug "Atoris" is atorvastatin.

Treatment with these drugs always starts with small doses (10 mg once a day). In this case, multiple factors must be taken into account, including which drugs the patient takes in parallel, and also in what condition his liver and kidneys are. After control laboratory studies, which are carried out about a month after the start of therapy, the initial dose can be increased to 20 mg. In some cases, patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, the dose is increased to 40 mg. By the way, the use of high doses of Roxer requires constant monitoring of the patient's condition.
As the instructions for the drug emphasize, for its greater effectiveness, attention should be paid not only to the concentration of triglycerides and cholesterol in the patient’s blood, but also to his age, gender and race. This is due to the fact that the concentration of these substances, depending on the indicated parameters, may be different - for example, it is higher for Indians and Mongoloids, which means that the doses necessary for its recovery will be different than for Caucasians.
Contraindications for the use of the drug "Roxer"
As mentioned above, the drug should be prescribed by a doctor. At the same time, experts also take into account the fact that during exacerbation of liver diseases, during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in severe renal failure, Roxer medicine or its analogues are not prescribed.
They are also contraindicated for patients with neuromuscular diseases (in particular, with myopathy), for patients simultaneously taking Cyclosporin as an antidepressant, for women of reproductive age who are not using contraceptives, as well as for children under the age of eighteen, and elderly people after 70 years.
These drugs are dangerous with hypersensitivity to the components of the tablets.
Side effects
The drug "Roxer", analogues of this tool - all of them can cause side effects as a result of application. These include primarily an allergic reaction to the components of the drugs, which manifests itself in the form of itching, rashes on the skin and urticaria, up to the development of angioedema.
Gastrointestinal dysfunction also occurs in patients, which is expressed by abdominal pain, nausea, and in rare cases, vomiting. Cases of development of pancreatitis, disorders of the functioning of skeletal muscles, which are most often manifested in the form of myalgia (muscle pain) or less often myopathy, as well as asthenia phenomena, have also been recorded.
Possible violations of the kidneys and urinary tract, accompanied by an increase in the amount of protein in the urine.
When prescribing the Roxer drug, the possibility of its effect on laboratory parameters should also be taken into account. Creatine kinase activity may increase, the concentration of glucose or bilirubin, as well as thyroid hormones, may change.
Possibility of overdose
If the prescribed dose is exceeded, there is the possibility of an overdose of the Roxer drug. The manufacturer of this drug at the same time emphasizes that with a single dose of an increased dose of clinically significant manifestations of an overdose was not observed.
In the case of signs of intoxication, the patient is shown symptomatic treatment and maintenance therapy. Further monitoring of the functioning of the liver, as well as the activity of creatine kinase, is recommended.
Taking lipid-lowering drugs should be taken seriously!
The drug "Roxer" (including analogues) does not apply to medicines intended for self-administration. They can’t thoughtlessly, quickly “bring down cholesterol”, as it seems to some frivolous patients. Therefore, lipid-lowering drugs are dispensed only by prescription, and their treatment is carried out in individual dosages and with constant laboratory monitoring of the results.
If the patient is prescribed Roxer tablets or their analogues, he must definitely find out from the attending physician what undesirable effects should be wary of, how to behave when they appear, clarify the schedule for blood donation for control, etc.
Only when these conditions are met can statins be the means that will significantly extend the patient's life and strengthen his health.
