Childhood
The future writer Sergey Valyaev was born in the spring of 1954 in the small Ukrainian city of Melitopol - a city of regional significance located in the territory of Zaporizhzhya region. Melitopol is a beautiful picturesque city located near the Milk Estuary, separated from the Sea of Azov by the oblique Peresyp. Most likely, as a child, little Seryozha loved to run swimming on the Milk River, admire the crimson sunsets when the water was lit up in purple tones, and admire the beautiful views when the velvet green trees, low inclined towards the fast-flowing current, were reflected in it, like in a mirror.
Picturesque landscapes and colorful nature awakened the awareness of the beautiful in a small child. Perhaps already then young Sergey was inspired and wanted to write books - it was not for nothing that he entered the Literary Institute.
From early childhood, Valyaev tried himself in the literary field. At first it was children's, immature expositions, later - inexperienced, inexperienced stories and essays, later transformed into authoritative realistic books and novels.
Youth
However, Sergey Valyaev did not immediately choose his career. For some time he studied and worked in a different direction, but, realizing his true calling, as soon as the opportunity presented himself, the young man radically changed his life - he moved to the capital of the former USSR at that time and entered the Literary Institute, named after Maxim Gorky. It was one of the largest literary educational institutions in the world. Admission to the institute was carried out on the basis of a creative competition (assessment of their own poetic or prose works by applicants), as well as on the basis of exams (language, literature, history).
At the age of twenty-six, Sergey Valyaev graduated from this institution of higher education with the title of a specialist in literary creation. In the same year, the first work of a novice writer was published.
Literary work
This work had a bright mysterious name - "Swing the devil swing" - and was published in the journal "Youth", number one. And this means that a huge number of residents of the country read it. At that time, the Youth magazine, an illustrated literary and artistic periodical, was the most famous and popular, bearing a liberal worldview. The leaders of the magazine were distinguished by pleasant progressiveness and increased interest in public life and the world around them.
Thanks to his literary creations, Sergey Valyaev (whose photo you will find in this article) was invited to the USSR Writers Union and could devote all his time and all his strengths to active writing.

Taking part in the film adaptation of his works, he created vivid, unforgettable films, collaborated with famous directors and actors.
Valyaev Sergey, whose filmography originates in the difficult and dramatic 1991, began his triumphant ascent in the film industry with two films at once: “The Bodyguard” and “Crazy Woman” - which received tremendous popularity and universal recognition.
This was followed by an equally intriguing and well-known film “Party Gold”, followed by the documentary “Criminal Russia” and the feature film “Caution! Red Mercury!”.
After that, the scriptwriter's work took a short break of seven years, after which Sergey Valyaev returned to the film industry with the new action-script “Lotus Blow”. Other exciting paintings followed: Men Don't Cry, Ambulance, Ferris Wheel.
