Today we offer to cook a very satisfying, tasty and quick dish, the recipe of which can be used for both festive and everyday dinners. On the agenda - pollock with potatoes in a slow cooker. Stewed fish with vegetables is always a win-win for the hostess. A kitchen assistant, a slow cooker, will also save time, which is important for modern busy ladies.
List of Essential Ingredients
To prepare this tasty and simple dish, you need to take the following products:
- 6 potatoes;
- three tomatoes (medium size);
- 600 grams of pollock fillet;
- onion;
- four tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- a pinch of salt;
- several tablespoons of dried dill (can be replaced with any fresh herbs);
- ground black pepper;
- 120 g sour cream;
- 80 g of hard cheese (optional).
Product pretreatment
To cook a fillet of pollock with potatoes in a slow cooker, you need to spend some time on preparatory activities. The Kitchen Assistant, of course, will do most of the work herself, but the hostess should work a bit. Firstly, it is necessary to peel potato tubers from peel, cut them into thin circles. We shift the potatoes into a small container. Add your favorite seasoning for vegetables, as well as salt and a little black pepper. Mix. Leave the potatoes to pickle while other vegetables are being cooked.
At the second stage, we deal with onions and tomatoes. Peel the onion, cut into half rings. Rinse the tomatoes well, cut in half, remove the tail, and then cut each half into thin slices.
Thirdly, not a single recipe for pollock with potatoes in a slow cooker can do without fish. In most cases, pollock is sold frozen. Thawing with a microwave is not recommended. It is better to get the fish out of the freezer in advance, let it defrost in natural conditions. After defrosting, we cut the pollock into portion pieces. Cooking

We shift the pickled potatoes into a slow cooker. Sprinkle with a small amount of cheese (1/3 of the total mass). We spread onions with the next layer. Now it's the turn of fish pieces. Sprinkle fish on top with part of the cheese mass. Next will be a layer of tomatoes. It will also need to be covered with cheese.
In a small glass, mix liquid sour cream, dried herbs and a little salt. Pour vegetables and fish with this mixture. Close the lid. Preparing pollock with potatoes in a slow cooker in the "Baking" or "Soup" mode. Cooking time is from 45 to 50 minutes, depending on the model of the multicooker.
Tips
Instead of pollock, you can use pangasius, perch fillet or red fish (salmon).
For a more piquant and vibrant taste, you can add finely chopped garlic or a few slices of chili pepper.
To make a dietary dish, instead of sour cream, take nonfat yogurt, and if you want to cook a hearty pollock with potatoes in a slow cooker, use homemade mayonnaise.
