Many could be confused by the similarity of the names of the tapes, but the “Dunkirk operation” is a completely different story. He did not have time to evacuate and is now forced to endure terrible tortures in order to keep the secret algorithm secret from the Nazis. He is brutally beaten and pushed needles under his nails, but he stoically endures and keeps his secret.
The famous rescue operation for soldiers who were trapped on the coast has just ended. Now, brave soldiers have a new goal: to save the captured scientist until the Nazis tortured him to death. Moreover, this German genius is ready to share his best practices with the enemies of the Nazis. It seems that now the situation in that area is more or less calm and the French are ready to help them, but in reality this is just an illusion. The soldiers expected to complete this last mission and go home. But it turned out that it would be much more difficult to get a person out of captivity than they initially thought.
In the territory occupied by German troops, many traps awaited them. And at this time, the scientist could no longer endure bullying and threats. He told the torturers that the algorithm is in the hands of Angelica, the Frenchwoman who bears his allies. The man was killed, and the Nazis went in the wake of the girl. The soldiers are the first to find the girl, and they need to bring her to the location of the British troops as soon as possible. They walk through the woods, losing members of their squad, but without losing courage and faith in the success of the operation. As a result, they managed to break through with the help of fighters who arrived in time, who destroyed the Nazis from the air. What is wrong with this movie?
"Dunkirk operation" received a lot of crushing reviews. Even an inexperienced viewer could not watch the picture without the feeling that they were trying to deceive him. The first thing that causes outrage is the actors and their game. When viewing the first frames, I would like to ask the creator of this masterpiece: “What amateur theater did you get these artists from?” Even if you put aside all the absurdity and patriotism with which the dialogues were crammed, you could pronounce them with some kind of emotions on your faces. Throughout the film “Dunkirk Operation”, it seems that instead of actors, ordinary people were gathered from the street.
Shootout scenes can shock. After being mortally wounded, soldiers fall to the ground while running and put out their hands to soften the blow. All this looks so ridiculous and ridiculous that involuntarily there is a desire to close his eyes. Reviews of the “Dunkirk operation” are full of phrases “collection of stamps”, “ridiculous fake”, “collection of kinolapov”, “funny special effects”. It is difficult to disagree with the latter: computer graphics looked so stupid that even silly and illogical dialogs were perceived much better against its background.
Mistakes
There are a lot of inconsistencies and kinolapy in the tape. The first thing that seems strange is the scene of a shootout in the forest. The British soldier, stuffed with fascist bullets, still manages to get a grenade and blow up the enemies, although by all laws of physics he must die without touching the ground. Opponents, contrary to all tactics of battle, face each other and do not even try to bend down or hide. One gets the feeling that these are children playing war games.
It is interesting to observe how in a building in which there were just no windows and a huge hole from the shell gaped, the windows suddenly sparkle again and the hole disappears. Such regeneration at home can be confusing.
Verdict
Nick Lyon tried to somehow advance his picture. If in Europe she appeared at the box office in the summer, then in America she came out only after the film by Christopher Nolan. So he tried to draw attention to the tape, given the similarity of names. But the viewer is not ready after a magnificent film about the heroism of British soldiers and their allies to watch overt absurdity. The calculation did not materialize. The film is bad by all criteria, which is confirmed by its low ratings on all movie sites and small box office fees.
