The Lyceum Theater (St. Petersburg) began its career in 1969. It was then that A. Skvortsov, V. Polunin, A. Makeev and N. Terentyev met in the pantomime studio under the direction of Eduard Rozinsky at the Leningrad City Palace of Culture.

The name "Lyceum" was coined by Vyacheslav Polunin. The repertoire included such performances: “Taek-Shen,“ Churdaki ”,“ Parsley ”,“ Small Olympics ”,“ Asysyay-revue ”and others. Artists repeatedly became laureates of various festivals in Russia and abroad, participated in the filming of films, appeared on television.

In 1991, the "Lyceum" (theater) was closed, but the brand remained. In 2009, it was opened again. There is a school-studio "Lyceum Lyceum" at the theater. Here the training of actors in the genres of mime and clowning takes place. Students are enrolled once every three years.

In the last 12 years of his creative activity, he worked in the legendary circus Du Soleil. More recently, he returned to his homeland and now pleases the domestic audience in the theater "Lyceum".
