Strawberry jelly is a simple and easy dessert, which is prepared only from natural ingredients. As a rule, such a sweet fruit dish is very popular in the summer. After all, it was at this time that many people were trying to maintain their harmonious forms, abandoning high-calorie cakes and pastries.
How to make strawberry jelly at home
Essential Ingredients:
- fresh strawberries (you can take frozen) - 300 grams;
- icing sugar or granulated sugar - 100 grams;
- gelatin - 2 large spoons or 2 sachets;
- fresh mint leaves - 3-4 pieces;
- vanillin - 1 sachet;
- natural strawberry yogurt - 100 milliliters.
Cooking features
Strawberry jelly is recommended to be done a few hours before serving. After all, such a dessert must necessarily stand in the refrigerator for four or five hours. During this time, the gelatin will harden, and the dish will be fully suitable for further consumption.
Gelatin Dilution
Strawberry jelly, the recipe of which will be discussed below, can be done using pectin, agar-agar or gelatin. The last option is most suitable for our simple dessert. After all, gelatin can be purchased at any supermarket at a very reasonable price.
Thus, 2 tablespoons of the bulk product must be poured with two full glasses of chilled boiled water, and then mix everything thoroughly and leave to swell for 60 minutes. After time, gelatin must be poured into a metal dish, put on a slow fire and, stirring constantly, heated until the swollen product is completely dissolved. After that, it is recommended to strain the warm liquid mass through a fine strainer, and then pour it into a previously prepared strawberry base.
The process of making the base for dessert
Start making strawberry jelly with processing berries. For this, a fresh or frozen product needs to be washed (thawed), peeled from the stalks, and then put in a blender bowl and chopped to a porridge-like consistency. After that, you need to add powdered sugar, fresh mint leaves, vanillin and natural yogurt to the strawberries.
All of the above ingredients should be whipped again with a blender, and then taste and, if necessary, add powdered sugar or berries.
The final stage in the preparation
Two cups of chilled liquid with gelatin must be poured into the finished strawberry mass and mix thoroughly. Next, the resulting mixture must be poured into molds, which are recommended to be lubricated with butter. Strawberry jelly can also be decorated with fresh pieces of berries and mint leaves. After that, the filled molds should be carefully placed in the refrigerator and kept there for at least four hours.
Proper serving
When the jelly from fresh strawberries completely hardens, it must be removed from the molds (by turning) and placed on separate saucers. Further, it is recommended to decorate the dessert with berries, sweet syrup or ice cream, and then serve it to guests.
