Chlorophyllipt oil is a drug that is actively used in ENT practice for the treatment of diseases of the nasopharynx and oral cavity, as well as for burn diseases and other injuries of the skin. This tool is natural and has a wide range of medicinal properties.
Operating principle
An oily solution of chlorophyllipt produces a powerful antimicrobial effect. Its main active ingredient is the extract of ball eucalyptus leaves, which, in turn, has antibiotic properties. In addition, eucalyptus extract, working together with carbon dioxide and water, takes an active part in the formation of oxygen. It is thanks to this that the drug got its name.
In addition to the antimicrobial effect, chlorophyllipt is able to exhibit the following pharmacological actions:
- bactericidal, and the drug sometimes destroys even those bacteria that have become insensitive to antibiotics;
- anti-inflammatory - an oil solution relieves swelling, eliminates pain and gradually reduces redness that occurs in the area of ββinfection;
- regenerative - chlorophyllipt stimulates wound healing;
- antipiogenic - the drug slows down and negates the processes due to which pus is formed;
- antihypoxant - prevents oxygen starvation of cells;
- immunostimulating - after applying the solution, the body acquires resistance to viral and bacterial infections, and its protective functions significantly increase;
- antiseptic - getting into the breeding place of pathogens, including staphylococci and streptococci, the solution inhibits their growth.
In addition, oily chlorophyllipt used in complex therapy significantly enhances the effect of other antiseptic agents, thereby accelerating the healing process.
Indications for use
According to the instructions for use, oily chlorophyllipt is intended for the treatment of purulent wounds, relieving inflammation, as well as thermal damage to the skin. In addition, some nasopharyngeal diseases and dental problems are indications, since with the proper use of this drug, their stable remission can be achieved. These include:
- chronic tonsillitis;
- pharyngitis;
- sinusitis;
- gingivitis;
- alveolitis;
- stomatitis.
Ways to use
Externally, the oily solution of chlorophyllipt is used in the form of applications or applied to the affected areas pointwise. For the treatment of mucous membranes, use a cotton swab or gauze, moistened with a small amount of the drug.
To lubricate the inflamed pharynx, use a clean cotton swab. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease, and the course is set exclusively by the doctor. Usually it lasts no more than a week, during which the drug is applied to problem areas three times a day.
For the treatment of colds, which are accompanied by nasal congestion, the oil form of the drug is used as drops - 3-4 in each nostril. With the development of sinusitis, chlorophyllipt is administered in two drops, only previously the nose is washed with a solution of soda (2% - a teaspoon per 200 ml of water) or a solution of sea salt. In the latter case, you can use special tools, for example, "AquaMaris", "Miramistin". If a sore throat develops as a result of the disease, then a cotton pad is moistened with a remedy and the tonsils are lubricated with it. Similar procedures are carried out for three days, twice daily.
Chlorophyllipt oil can also be used for inhalation, which also copes very well with a runny nose. The drug is diluted with cooled boiled water (approximately 1:10) and poured into a nebulizer container. After this procedure, nasal breathing is noticeably easier.
Recommendations for the use of chlorophyllipt in the cold season
As a rule, colds occur in spring, autumn and mild, warm winters. And in these periods, according to reviews, oily chlorophyllipt becomes a highly effective prophylactic. Before going out, it is enough to lubricate the nasal cavity and throat with this tool. It will protect the mucous membranes and prevent pathogenic bacteria from developing.
If the first symptoms of the disease appear, it is advisable to use this drug as soon as possible. At the first stage of development, it is much easier to destroy pathogenic microorganisms than after a few days. And if you miss this time, the disease will begin to progress rapidly, and as a result, mild symptoms will be replaced by more pronounced: sore throat, shortness of breath and inflammation of the mucous membranes.
How to handle the nasal cavity?
The use of oily chlorophyllipt is perfectly acceptable both individually and in combination with an alcohol solution. In the latter case, the alcohol-based drug is first poured into each nostril and only then the cavity is lubricated with an oil agent.
If you want to use only oily chlorophyllipt, then the rules are as follows:
- rinse your nose thoroughly with a weak saline solution, it is better to do this two to three times to remove mucus as much as possible;
- then take a clean pipette and draw some oil in it, tilt the head back and put 2-4 drops into each nostril;
- stay in the same position for several minutes so that the drug penetrates to the nasopharynx and begins to act.
For some time, you can feel discomfort, which manifests itself in the form of a slight burning sensation. This indicates the immediate effect of the drug, which destroys microbes immediately after entering the mucous membranes. As a result, purulent discharge will be completely eliminated, breathing will become more free and overall health will noticeably improve.
Doctors advise using oily chlorophyllipt in the nose in combination with other drugs, such as Anaferon or Protargol. Such therapy shows high efficiency with severe nasal congestion and in the presence of a large number of secretions.
Treatment with oily chlorophyllipt at home is recommended for three days. If during this time there is no improvement, then you need to see a doctor to adjust the therapy.
Treatment of sinusitis in children
Consider how to use oily chlorophyllipt in the treatment of children. Pediatricians may prescribe this medication to treat sinusitis. For children from the age of three years, the drug is used as drops, younger than three - only for lubrication of the nasal cavity. At the same time, this tool helps even in the presence of green deposits, which are not uncommon after visiting a kindergarten.
In order to process the nose, the baby who is not yet three years old should take a cotton swab and dip it into the composition. Then the wetted part is treated with each nostril. In one procedure, this should be done twice or thrice, using clean cotton wool each time.
Such remediation helps to lubricate the mucous membrane, adenoids well and will bring quick relief of breathing. For washing the nose in this case, you can use the same "Miramistin", "Humer" or ordinary saline. In parallel, pediatricians usually prescribe medications that contribute to the speedy release of nasal passages from mucus and color deposits.
However, remember that oily chlorophyllipt is not allowed for use with a cold, which appeared due to an allergy and entailed severe swelling of the mucous membranes. In this case, the drug can aggravate the situation, since one of its side effects is the development of an allergic reaction.
Chlorophyllipt for the treatment of throat
Chlorophyllipt oil is not suitable for rinsing, since this form of the drug simply does not dissolve in water. The throat is usually lubricated with a cotton pad soaked in a solution. The procedure is carried out as follows:
- first you need to thoroughly gargle;
- then we wind small pieces of cotton wool on a wooden stick or on tweezers;
- pour the oil solution into a tablespoon and dip cotton wool into it;
- thoroughly and at the same time gently lubricate the throat.
Oil chlorophyllipt is not dangerous for the throat - this composition is very gentle, but nevertheless, pinching in the first minutes is still felt, as is the case with the treatment of the nasal cavity. Active substances begin the fight against bacteria and contribute to the speedy recovery of the patient.
Would you like to get a faster effect from using an oily solution of chlorophyllipt? For the throat in this case, it is used after rinsing with an alcohol. To do this, one tablespoon of the drug is dissolved in a glass of warm boiled water, rinsed with the finished composition, then the throat is lubricated with an oil composition according to the above scheme.
Features of the use of oil products for the throat
For throat, chlorophylliptin oil is used very simply, but in order for it to have the necessary effect, it must be used, according to the following recommendations.
- Be sure to rinse your throat before the procedure. It can be ordinary boiled water, a decoction of chamomile or calendula. Herbal preparations, if you are not allergic to them, can best wash away mucus or existing pus.
- It is recommended to shake the bottle with the oil composition and only after pouring the required amount into a small container. During the procedure, the drug can be added.
- After treatment, you can neither drink nor eat food for half an hour. Otherwise, you simply wash off the medicine, and it will not bring much effect.
- Usually, three reorganization per day is quite enough, but in advanced cases the number of treatments can be increased up to five times. Thus, with a competent approach, you can quickly feel relieved.
Often there are situations when the treatment of the throat with oily chlorophyllipt becomes quite difficult due to the appearance of a gag reflex. In such cases, you can instill five drops of the solution in the nose and tilt your head back or lie down for some time on your back. Thanks to this procedure, the drug will penetrate the posterior region of the nasopharynx and gradually begin to envelop the throat. The foci of infection here will also receive a certain dose of the active substance, however, it is believed that such treatment brings a much less pronounced result.
How to apply chlorophyllipt to children with sore throat?
Therapy with the use of chlorophyllipt oil for the throat for children can only be prescribed by a specialist. In this case, for infants, this composition can be dripped exclusively on the nipple, since it is almost impossible to properly process the neck with it. 3-4 drops is enough to ensure that the drug later spread to the mucous membranes and provide the necessary therapeutic effect.
Older children who are already weaned from the nipple, the drug is dripped on the inner surface of the cheek or on the tongue. The amount of chlorophyllipt in this case is also adjusted by the pediatrician, based on the age of the child.
If the baby is more than four years old, then at this age it is allowed to treat the inflamed areas in the usual way. Only in this case is it important to act very carefully. For schoolchildren, therapy is carried out on the same principle as for adults.
Important: allergy test
Chlorophyllipt oil is a drug based on plant components, and therefore may well cause an allergic reaction. It manifests itself in different ways: from a rash on the skin to severe swelling of the larynx, which can seriously complicate breathing. And to prevent unpleasant manifestations, before starting treatment it is strongly recommended to conduct a simple test. Both adults and children are doing it without fail.
So, for the test you should drip a little chlorophyllipt on the tongue and wait a while. Immediately after, it is undesirable to eat or drink so that the drug can act. And if after a few hours you do not feel a negative reaction from the body, then the drug can be used.
If you have an allergy, the following symptoms may occur:
- rash;
- redness on the skin;
- severe burning in the oral cavity;
- itching of the mucous membranes and skin;
- swelling of the mucous membranes or face.
At the same time, during the test it is extremely undesirable to swallow the drug and try to make it so that it does not come into contact with the throat. Otherwise, with the development of an allergic reaction, severe edema is possible. If side effects began to appear, it is urgent to take an antihistamine.
Contraindications
The instructions for chlorophylliptum oil mention only two contraindications:
- an allergic reaction to one of the components of the drug;
- individual intolerance.
In addition, you should not use it on your own during pregnancy, since in this position a woman risks not only worsening her well-being, but also harming the health of her child.
When using children, carefully monitor the reaction of their body, even if the test did not give side effects. Particularly carefully, the child must be observed on the first day of the use of the drug, and in case of rash, itching, shortness of breath, bronchial spasm, etc., stop treatment with chlorophyllipt immediately and consult a doctor.
It is recommended to store the drug at a temperature not exceeding +20 Β° C, in the original packaging and out of the reach of children. And pay attention to the date of manufacture - the shelf life is no more than two years.
