Childhood and youth
Semenova Ekaterina Leonidovna was born at Christmas, back in 1961, in a family of war veterans. Mom was the daughter of the regiment, her father was the commander. Katya had an older sister, Luda. So they lived like everyone else - from paycheck to paycheck. Katya accidentally discovered an absolute pitch. She was sitting with her neighbors and picking up a melody for the piano, the teacher came and could not pass by the strange gifted girl, took her home and said that the child should be taught. They bought a tool on credit, and little Katya began to study.
Only grief happened in the family - father died when Katya was six years old. It pulled something else - after five years, my mother died of cancer. Katya was brought up by her older sister. My sister drank a husband and had two children, but there was no money. A girl at eleven years of soap porches. Do we know many of these? Semenova Ekaterina Leonidovna - the only one. Since the deceased mother wanted, although there was no money, Katya graduated from music school. She herself wanted to become a veterinarian. But she did not enter the academy, since she studied poorly at school — she was only three. And in order to be closer to cat dogs and earn money at the same time, I got a job as a secretary in a veterinary clinic. But life turned everything differently.
Case is only a special kind of pattern
At the age of 19, Katya Semenova accidentally saw an ad in a newspaper about the All-Union Pop Song Contest and sang several songs at home on a borrowed tape recorder. Sent to the specified address and forgot. And then they informed me by the home telephone that Semenova Ekaterina Leonidovna went to the finals. Then she sang in front of the jury and received a ticket to the musical life.
Concert activity
Working at the Moscow Regional Conservatory, the young singer recorded a simple song “So that I wouldn’t drink, smoke, always wear flowers,” and the whole country recognized Semenova.
In the 80-90s, Semenova Ekaterina Leonidovna traveled around the country and gave five concerts a day. Health was in short supply. It was thought with horror at the second concert: “When will this day come to an end?” And at the last concert she already counted how many songs were left to the end. Terrible migraines tormented, I had to drink several packs of analgin, my eyes watery, and I did not see the audience, since I had vision problems since childhood - astigmatism. And the spectators after the concerts were amazed - they could come up with the words: “Woman, give an autograph,” as if they did not know whose concert they were attending.
Wealth is a myth
It would seem that there should be a lot of money, apartments, cars, diamonds, gold, but at first the money went through fingers, and then the sister got cancer. Semenova Ekaterina Leonidovna found the luminary from the cancer center on Kashirka, but she was expelled from the office with the words that her sister was very neglected - it was useless to treat. She begged in tears to help, but everything was started because she was on tour all the time. Then the sister was put in the department. And Katya Semenova began to give concerts at pharmaceutical factories in order to receive payment with medicines, because then there was nothing in the shops and pharmacies.
So there were 20 ampoules for the sister, and hundreds for separation. The sister felt much better, it seemed that she was recovering. But a side infection developed, which they could not cope with, and Luda died.
Family life
At 23, Katya marries musician Andrei Baturin, who became her producer. Two years later they create a group in which she is a soloist. A repertoire appears. Finally, invitations to television come. The image is spinning, Katya Semenova is a star singer. Little by little, Katya begins to write songs, perform in a duet with Malezhik, and lead a program on TV with him. Being under such a load as a mother, and Catherine's son Maxim was born in 1985, is very difficult. He is raised by great-grandmother and grandmother from her husband. Eight years of marriage were difficult. The husband, working hard and hard, like his wife, nevertheless found time to engage in beautiful ladies. So, gradually they came to divorce. And in 1992, Semenova left for Kiev and met the man with whom she had connected her life seriously and for a long time. This is actor Mikhail Tserishenko. After that, the singer radically revises her life and becomes a home person, immersed in musical creativity.

“I like,” the singer says, “to live simply, not to look around, but just to walk with dogs, unpainted, in ordinary, simple clothes.”
Even when she goes to the grandson on the subway, she does not apply makeup - she is tired of this makeup on stage. And the life of an ordinary person does not imply excesses in cosmetics. You can, while remaining a famous person, go shopping, take out the trash - everything, just like people do. And in her apartment, she does everything herself and has been living in it for more than fifty years. She likes to sit quietly at the piano, immersed in music, and compose. At the same time, she does not use computers. And then songs are recorded in the studio with the singers, and this is also interesting. At the same time, Ekaterina Semenova feels like a free person who does what she wants. True, when copyright money does not come for a long time, it becomes financially more difficult, but it passes.
So difficult and, frankly, instructive, the life of the singer and composer, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, has developed. She is not stellar at all - Katya Semenova.
