Memorizing notes is the first step in learning musical notation. With it, mastering any musical instrument will be easier and faster. How to learn notes? The exercises proposed below will allow you to learn them not only in the treble, but also in the bass key. It will take literally forty minutes of time.
First exercise
To get started, learn the sequence of steps in a scale. Most people who are not even related to music know them from school: to, re, mi, fa, salt, la, si.
Repeat this sequence of notes until you can name the entire series by heart without prompting. Then start memorizing in other directions.
Opposite direction (downward movement): do, si, a la, salt, fa, mi, re, do.
The upward movement, skipping one step (this interval is called a third): do-mi, re-fa, mi-sol, fa-la, sol-si, la-re, si-mi, do-mi.
Then the same thing in a downward movement: do-la, si-sol, la-fa, sol-mi, fa-re, mi-do, re-si, do-la.
Then repeat the same thing, just skip two steps, then three and four. After memorizing these rows, take the βtripleβ step through the step. In the upward movement: do-mi-sol, re-fa-la, mi-sol-si, fa-la-do, sol-si-re, etc.
Repeat the same exercise in a downward movement.
The piano
How to learn notes on a piano? It becomes easier if you easily navigate the names of notes and know their order. Perform the above exercises on the piano keys. This can also be done on any other musical instrument. Such actions allow you to quickly learn the location of the notes directly on the violin, piano, guitar or other instrument.
On the piano, the white keys carry the standard names of the main notes - up, re, mi and so on. Since there are 88 keys on a standard piano keyboard, these notes are repeated more than once, and each such repetition is called an βoctaveβ. Simply put, an octave is the distance from one note to the second is the same.
Where is up to?
The note up on the piano keyboard is not the only one. How to learn notes and find them easily? Black keys will help us on the piano. You probably noticed that they are grouped in two and three, this period is clearly visible. So the note to is always located to the left of the two black keys. Take a look at the example below. Knowing where the note is located, you can navigate in other notes. Come up with convenient guidelines for yourself. For example, the fa note is located to the left of the three black keys, and the re note is located between the two black keys. Do the simple exercises again, and the question of how to learn notes on the piano will no longer be difficult for you.
At the stave
However, it is not enough to know only the name of the notes. How to learn notes and their writing? In order to quickly remember their location on the stave, it is very useful to perform various written exercises. To get started, write down all the note groups you studied earlier. First upward scale from to, then downward and so on in order. Under each note below sign its name.
About the keys
The squire has only five rulers, and this is very few. If you try to record a melody on it with a large interval, it will be difficult for a musician to read such a score. For this, the so-called keys were invented. Even those who are not familiar with musical literacy have at least once seen the treble clef. The second, a little less known, is called bass. It should be remembered that with different keys, different notes can be located on the same line of the musician.
For example, a treble clef is also called a key-salt. The key curl is located on the second line of the musician and indicates that the note should be located on the same line as the salt of the first octave.
The bass clef is also called the "fa clef." His curl is located on the fourth ruler and means that on the same ruler there must be a note of the F of a small octave.
Five rulers of a musician are rarely enough, so the so-called supplementary ones are usually used. For example, the same note until the first octave in the treble clef will be located on the first additional ruler from below, and in the bass - on the first additional top.
Guitar
An instrument such as a guitar does not have such obvious guiding notes as a piano. However, the above exercises work well on the guitar neck, however, a little preparation is required.
Guitar notes carry letter designations: A - la, H or B - si, C - do, D - re, E - mi, F - fa, G - salt. Do all the exercises with the new notation.
Guitar strings are tuned according to the notes E (mi), B (si), G (salt), D (pe), A (la), E (mi).
There is a simple way to memorize this sequence. If you add up all the names of the notes, you get a phrase similar in sound to "Mesi Salt Belts."
How to learn notes on a guitar? There are no black and white keys, but moving one fret up gives an increase of half a tone. Thus, if you play E (s) on the open first string, then, holding this string in the first fret, you will get the note fa. If in the second fret - F sharp.
