Own style is that especially important component which in many respects defines success of a musical group. Time Out is a legendary band that has managed not only to stand out among a number of other domestic rock bands, but has created an absolute direction. The achievements of musicians and their work will be discussed in this article.
The history of the appearance of the group
Initially, the team, which later became the “Time Out”, was called “Shock”. The soloist was Alexander Minaev, A. Ludvipol played the drums, brothers Andrei and Mikhail Melnikov were responsible for the bass guitar and solo guitar. Soon after the formation of this group, Minaev met P. Molchanov, who performed in a collective called “Martin”. Molchanov experienced difficulties in understanding with other participants of Martin, therefore, without thinking twice, he agreed to the proposal of the lead singer of Shock and joined a new team.

The first concerts were given by the Time Out band in Makhachkala, where the Dagestan State Philharmonic Society urgently invited musicians. An interesting fact: six months before the arrival of the collective, a group with the same name already performed in the Philharmonic, but the musicians had a conflict with the leadership of the institution, as a result of which they were fired, and they had to recruit a new composition. Since the contracts have already been signed, they decided not to change the name. So the “Shock” turned into a “Time Out”.
The composition of the team has changed several times. In 1992, he took shape: A. Minaev, P. Molchanov, Sergey Stepanov and Andrei Rodin. It is noteworthy that the musicians chose unusual pseudonyms and are known to their fans as A. Zirnbirnstein, T. Puzdoy, G. Sikkorsky and A. Kislorodin.
Motology
The Time Out group is not only talented musicians, but also unique creative personalities. Minaev and Molchanov in 1990 came up with a whole "science" - motology, "the science of highs."
The history of its appearance is as follows. Pavel Molchanov once found an old plaque with the words “dentist” in the garbage bin and decided to attach it to the door of his apartment. Unfortunately, the find was too large, its width far exceeding the width of the doorway, so the musician shortened the tablet by removing the first syllable. So there was a motology.
The alternation of letters a and o in the name of “science” should be explained. Media representatives associated the word “matologue” with obscene expressions, so the team members decided to replace the letter in order to avoid such a negative interpretation of their invention.
What is the purpose of this "science"? It is to enjoy your own performances even when no one is listening to them. However, the audience did not get bored at any concert of the group. Musicians often came up with various competitions, effectively appeared on stage and staged unforgettable bright and funny shows.
Team members
A. Minaev is one of the founders of the group. He performed in the "Shock", later renamed the "Time Out". In addition to the function of a soloist, which he performs when performing compositions at concerts, the musician also plays the guitar. Thanks to Minaev, Pavel Molchanov, the founder of motology, as mentioned above, appeared in the team.
Sergei Stepanov joined the group after his performances in it were completed by virtuoso guitarist V. Pavlov, who left for Germany in 1992. Prior to this, Stepanov was a member of the Legion, with which Time Out often went on tour. The musician is the second lead singer and guitarist.
Roman Mukhachev is another soloist playing the synthesizer and accordion. He performed in a team in 1994-1995, then temporarily left the group, but then returned.
The Time Out band could not have existed without a drummer. Such a person is Andrei Rodin, playing under the pseudonym Archimandre Kislorodin. He joined the team shortly before the recording of his second album, entitled “Medical Technique,” and has since been responsible for drums.
Interesting Facts
The Time Out group is an extraordinary phenomenon even for the revolutionary era of the 90s. The musicians staged a real show at each of their concerts. If we add together all the facts cited earlier, it is not surprising that the team reached the North Pole. It was there that one of the group's most famous performances took place on April 21, 1995 at a temperature of -38 ° C. About a hundred people attended the concert, it lasted 12 minutes and was listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Time Out is the only band in the history of music that has managed to perform in such harsh conditions.
Discography
The songs of the “Time Out” group were formed into 12 albums, which were incredibly popular among the audience and fans of the group. The first disc with songs appeared in 1989 and was called "We Love You." Subsequent albums featured original titles that fully reflected the musicians' unique style and their own philosophy of life and work.
