Candles "Acylact" in its composition have live acidophilic lactobacilli, which are very large, in a single dose contains about 10 ^ 7 bacteria. These bacteria are obligate for humans microorganisms. Suppositories "Acylact" are intended for the correction of microflora, both in the vagina and in the large intestine. In the normal state of the female body in the vaginal microflora, lactobacilli, which are also called Dederlein sticks, predominate. It is they who participate in the suppression of the growth of opportunistic microorganisms and maintain an acidic environment in the vagina. Candles "Acylact" during menstruation are not administered, they are intended to restore normal microflora.
Acidophilic lactobacilli, which are part of this drug, have an increased ability to acid formation, they also have a high antagonistic activity against most pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microbes, have increased adhesive properties that help bacteria to remain on the mucous membrane longer. These bacteria are resistant to the antibiotics used, which allows them to be prescribed when there are violations of the bacteriocenosis of the intestine and female genitalia, as well as the oral cavity. Candles "Acylact" are very convenient to use, and they are easily combined with the simultaneous administration of antibacterial drugs.
Indications for use
Vaginal Acylact suppositories are used to treat diseases of the female genitalia, which are accompanied by disorders of normal microflora. Particularly relevant will be the use of this drug in pathological conditions when there is a deficiency of lactoflora of the female genital tract, which happens with the following diseases:
- Senile colpitis, which is accompanied by the appearance of dryness and atrophy of the mucous membrane, increases the frequency of urinary infections. This is due to the fact that the amount of lactobacilli on the mucosa directly depends on the amount of estrogen produced by the body. That is why in the postmenopausal period, when estrogen deficiency occurs , the level of lactoflora decreases;
- non-specific bacterial colpitis, which are caused by staphylococcus or Escherichia coli;
- prolonged violation of the purity of vaginal secretions up to 3-4 degrees;
- bacterial vaginosis, which is accompanied by proliferation of anaerobic flora, and there is a sharp depletion of the vaginal mucosa by lactobacilli. In this case, "Acylact" is used in combination therapy with topical use of metronidazole or clindamycin;
- after a long antibiotic therapy, when there is a suppression of the natural microflora of the vagina;
- the occurrence of vaginal dysbiosis, when inflammation of the cervix, as well as the uterine appendages appear;
- for the prevention of bacterial colpitis and cystitis, when there is a frequent change of sexual partners;
- during the treatment of microplasma infection and chlamydia of the female genital tract in combination with other drugs;
- during the preparation for the planned gynecological operations to prevent the occurrence of infectious complications after surgery;
- during the preparation of the birth canal for childbirth, since the newborn has an intestinal biocenosis from the very beginning, and it will largely depend on the microbial state of the genital tract of the mother.
Vaginal suppositories are administered twice a day for one suppository, the course of treatment is from 5 to 10 days. It can be repeated after 10-20 days for 4 months.
