How to draw a pig beautifully, and most importantly - believably? This is quite simple and even an inexperienced artist can do, since the animal has a simple-shaped body in the form of a continuous cylinder, it does not even have a neck. It is also very easy to depict the head, legs and tail. So, let's learn step by step how to draw a pig.
Standing pig
Step 1. Draw a large oblong horizontal oval. This will be the body for your grandmother. Next to the large horizontal oval (body), draw a small vertical oval so that it does not touch the main one. This smaller oval should be about 1/5 of the size of the body. In the annex to the smaller oval, draw a triangle. It will be a pig snout. To know how to draw a pig correctly from the very beginning, carefully consider Figure 1. Using the sample in smooth lines, connect 2 ovals - the body and head of the future pig.
Step 2. Smooth contours connect the upper and lower parts ready with the body.
Now we finish the lower limbs. Let's start with the front legs. Draw a circle near the front of the large oval so that most of the circle goes over the body. Under the circle, draw a quadrangle narrowed in the middle. It resembles a child's drawing of a tree (crown and trunk). To draw the hind legs, you must essentially repeat the same steps: draw a circle as shown in Figure 2, draw quadrangles narrowed in the middle. They will depict hind legs. The only difference is that the hind legs are thicker than the front, and the hind legs need to be slightly bent back approximately in the middle (there is a knee joint in the pig).
We give the drawing a natural look
Step 3. The first steps showed how to draw a pig in stages with a pencil. Having the basic contours, it is necessary to give the picture a credibility. First, use the eraser tool to carefully remove all excess lines in the picture. At the very top of the head, draw a pair of vertical ears, add a curled tail at the back. At the bottom of each leg, add small trapeziums that will serve as the pig's hooves.
The last figure shows that the shape of the head is slightly changed - the stigma is slightly increased. The drawing is almost finished. Now, in front of the ear, you need to add a point - the pig’s eyes are small, draw a snout-patch and a line, slightly curved down, to mark the mouth. In the line of the abdomen, front legs and shoulder blades of the pig with short strokes to lay the muscles under the skin. Done!
Pig leaning
How to draw a pig in a different way? For example, who is eating? It is also very simple. We use the same algorithm as in the previous version.
Step 1. Again we use the main forms - an oval and a circle. But in this case, we expand the large oval at the back and slightly narrower in front (in the form of a large drop). We do the same with the shape of the head - we round off the occipital part, and sharpen the front part (we also get a drop). The shape of the animal is now ready.
Step 2. Connect the torso and head with a smooth curved line. Draw the front and hind legs in the form of paired irregular quadrangles, as shown in the figure. Triangles indicate the ears on top of the head, slightly departing from the edge of the circle. In front of the muzzle with a trapezoid, indicate the future snout.
Final contours
Step 3. Now you need to finish the drawing. To do this, use the eraser to remove all excess lines. We smooth out all the contours. On the face, draw the eyes. They are very small, slightly almond-shaped in the pig, located just opposite the ears. Briefly mark the mouth as in the figure. At the back we draw a tail twisted upwards. In addition, we draw muscles with short lines and denote the folds of skin on the pig's body.
If your drawing is similar to the original, now you know how to draw a pig with a pencil. If something doesn’t work the first time, don’t be upset, but try again!
How to draw a pig even easier
The proposed method is suitable even for children. The main element of the picture is a circle. You need to start with a sketch. We draw 2 circles - large for the body and small for the head. Moreover, a small circle should turn out as if flattened on top and bottom. We will arrange the circles next so that the little one goes a little on the big one.
Now inside the small circle - the head - we add details such as the eyes and nose. They are also depicted as circles. We draw the eyes with small dots, set close together, the nose - in the form of an oblong oval immediately under the eyes. On the nose-stigma, add 2 vertical dash-nostrils for the likelihood of a picture.
At the top of the head, draw triangles on the ears. Inside each eye, draw another small triangle. Add legs to the bottom of the body with rectangles. Draw the hooves with small dashes.
Now add a ponytail in the back with a short spiral.
Now you have learned how to draw a cartoon pig. To give your masterpiece a finished look, a pig can be painted.
