Sometimes it is called an alligator pear. The oily flesh of an avocado is similar to butter in consistency. It was not for nothing that the Indians called it “forest oil”.

In mature fruits, the flesh is green or yellowish-green, the skin is hard, dark green, sometimes almost black. In the middle is a large inedible bone, which contains substances dangerous to people and animals. For Guacamole sauce made from avocado, only the ripe fruit pulp is used.

Rub the onion quarter and half the chili pepper with a pinch of salt into a homogeneous paste. Add pieces of ripe avocado pulp and, pouring lime juice, continue to grind until the mixture turns into a rough porridge. Finely chop the remaining onion and the other half of the chili pepper and combine with the mashed avocado, pour the cilantro and mix. Mix the resulting mixture with pomegranate seeds, salt and pepper.
