- Sift three cups of flour into a bowl.
- Boil half a glass of water in a saucepan and pour into flour. Then add another quarter cup of room temperature water.
- Put salt, a spoonful of vegetable oil in a bowl, knead the dough and let it stand for 10-15 minutes.
Wonton with prawns and pork
For this recipe, you can prepare the dough yourself or purchase it in a store. Divide the required amount of dough into three parts. Cover two with a towel and put aside, and roll out the third and use a form to cut circles with a diameter of 5 cm from it. To prepare the stuffing you will need:
- Mash with a fork 300 grams of peeled shrimp, add 200 grams of minced pork to them and mix.
- After that, chop with a knife 120 grams of bamboo shoots (they can be replaced with pickled champignons) and add them to the minced meat.
- Season the filling with two tablespoons of soy sauce, two tablespoons of rice (or white dry) wine, salt and pepper.
- Add half a tablespoon of vegetable oil, two tablespoons of rice flour (can be replaced with starch), one protein and a teaspoon of sugar.
Mix the filling well and put in the center of each piece. After that, connect the edges of the dough so that you get a bag with an open neck. Cook the wontons in a double boiler until cooked, and then serve.

At home, Chinese dumplings are given a different shape. Sometimes the edges are completely fastened together, sometimes the neck is left open, and in Sichuan cuisine they are often given a triangular shape. - To get started, let's get the sauce done. Take one red chili pepper, remove the seeds and white partitions. Cut the pulp into thin half rings, which should then be combined with a tablespoon of sugar, a tablespoon of lime juice, three tablespoons of water and four tablespoons of soy sauce (you can take fish instead).
- Grind 250 grams of peeled shrimp, add finely chopped green onions, five or six cloves of garlic and a few sprigs of cilantro to them.
- Mix shrimp with 450 grams of minced pork, one chicken egg, a tablespoon of soy sauce, a teaspoon of lime and a teaspoon of sugar. Season the minced meat with salt, ground pepper and mix well.
- Cover the bowl with the stuffing with cling film and leave to infuse in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- Take 350 grams of ready-made dough for wontons or cook it yourself. Place a forcemeat ball in the center of each workpiece, which should be rolled up with wet hands. Pinch the edges so that you get a small bag.
- To deep-fry, heat the vegetable oil in a deep saucepan, and then fry the wontons in it until golden brown.

Sweet wontons
