On the eve of the celebration, almost everyone thinks about what to cook dishes on the festive table. They must have an original appearance and taste. To prepare a delicious salad for the festive table, you need to take three cucumbers, several bell peppers, a salad mix - 300 g, one pomegranate, a package of Feta cheese, 500 g pork collar and walnuts. Here, not only meat is pickled, but also vegetables, a few spoons of apple cider vinegar, sugar and water should be added to the marinade for vegetables.
The meat is pickled in rosemary, thyme, garlic and vegetable oil. As a salad dressing, a mixture of mayonnaise and yogurt is used. These products should be taken in equal proportions of 200 grams. You can also add a little lemon juice to the dressing.
Cooking process
The salad is prepared for a long time, so you need to prepare all the ingredients for it in advance. Follow the step by step instructions:
- In a small saucepan, mix water, sugar and vinegar, bring the mixture to a boil, boil a little. Set aside, let the liquid cool to room temperature.
- Cut bell pepper into strips, and cucumbers in half rings or also strips, in the recipe there are no strict criteria regarding the shape of the cut. Put vegetables in the cooled liquid in a saucepan. Leave them there for 1 hour. Peel pomegranate.
- Cut the meat into large pieces (as in the photo below), marinate in spices with vegetable oil. Fry the neck in a grill pan or in an ordinary pan with a thick bottom. After that, put the meat in the oven and bring it to full readiness. Usually it takes about 20 minutes with a heated oven at 200 degrees.
- In a bowl, mix natural yogurt with mayonnaise and lemon juice. Optionally, add one clove of chopped garlic.
- Lettuce leaves must be picked by hands, put them in a bowl and mixed with 2/3 of the sauce of mayonnaise and yogurt.
- Put the salad on a plate, top with vegetables and Feta cheese sliced โโin a medium cube.
- Cut the meat into cubes or straws, put it on the very top of the salad, sprinkle with pomegranate and pour over the remaining salad dressing. This completes the process of preparing a delicious salad on the festive table. It remains only to decorate with herbs and serve.
If desired, the dish can be supplemented with a small amount of grated Parmesan, which is poured on top of all the ingredients.
Hot dish on the festive table
This dish will surely appeal to the whole male part of the banquet. It uses pork shoulder, which is cooked in an original and fairly sharp marinade. The meat is incredibly tender and tasty, be sure to try this dish.
On a festive table of 10 people you need to take 2 kg of pork shoulder, 200 g of soy sauce, 200 g of acute Abkhaz adjika, 100 g of honey and one lemon. Of spices, you need to use coriander, red and black pepper, paprika. As you can see, in this case the minimum amount of ingredients is used.
Main course
The meat must be cut into large cubes (like a barbecue), put it in a cauldron or any other similar utensils. Add all of the above ingredients, mix thoroughly and leave in the refrigerator overnight. Note! The meat must be marinated long enough, otherwise it will not reach the desired softness and taste. Night is the minimum pickling time.
Now you need to preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees, cover the casseroles and set it to cook. The meat must be cooked in the oven for two hours. This is the optimal cooking time for this dish. If the meat is in the oven beyond this time, it simply begins to disintegrate into fibers, then it will not be a hot meat dish, but a stew.
Serve the dish in deep plates along with the sauce. When serving, you can sprinkle with parsley, dill or cilantro.
Cutting on a festive table
Today, there are many different products that can be cut into a banquet table as a light meal. These may be cheese plates, in which case several types of cheese will be needed: regular hard cheese, camembert, feta, parmesan and roquefort.
Meat plates can consist of home and shop sausages, boiled pork, ham and balyk. You can combine cheese and meat products, that is, take several types of your favorite cheese and combine them on the same plate with meat products, as in the following photo.
We must not forget about various vegetable plates, especially when the time of year allows you to put on the table various gifts of the fields.
