Appetizing pilaf has firmly entered the menu of housewives around the world, its classic version with a lamb base has undergone many changes. Currently, pilaf with chicken, quail, pork, beef, rabbit and even seafood is being prepared. Many make pilaf, mixing all the ingredients, although initially rice was prepared separately from meat. The method of preparing this dish remains unchanged. A deep cauldron or pot is taken, oil is melted in it, meat, vegetables, rice are laid out, and everything is stewed in an oven or oven.
Pilaf with chicken is very juicy and mouth-watering, for piquancy you can add a little raisins, you can cook it in two ways: with rice, together or separately. We will cook chicken pilaf . To do this, you need the ingredients:
- 1.3 kg of chicken fillet ;
- 450 g steamed rice ;
- 40 g of yellow raisins;
- purple onion;
- six cloves of purple garlic;
- a pair of medium carrots;
- coarse salt and ground pepper according to preferences (seasonings can be added, but the wondrous aroma of this dish is beautiful without flavor enhancers).
Chicken fillet pilaf. Cooking:
- Rinse and chop chicken fillets into large bars.
- Peel the carrots and onions, rub the carrots on a coarse grater, and chop the onions in the usual way, without fading.
- You heat the cauldron (pot), pour the oil there when it boils, throw the onion, lightly brown and toss the carrot. Stirring, simmer for several minutes to soften the carrots, then lay out the pieces of chicken, add salt and pepper, sprinkle them with rice mixed with washed raisins. Pour 440 ml of water and close.
- In the cooking process, after thirteen minutes, mix the entire contents of the container and so every eight to twelve minutes. Chicken pilaf will be ready in forty minutes.
If you want to try an unusual option, we advise you to cook pilaf with squid, the dish comes out tender and unusually fragrant. The soft taste of seafood is ideally combined with rice, which does not have a pronounced aftertaste, but only sets off the delicate aroma of squid.
Squid pilaf. Ingredients:
- 420 grams of squid;
- 160 grams of steamed rice;
- one ripe medium-sized carrot;
- small purple bulb;
- seven pieces of physalis (except for Russian fruits, otherwise you can be poisoned!), if there is no physalis, you can replace five tomatoes of medium ripeness;
- odorless sunflower oil;
- coarse salt and ground pepper according to preference.
Pilaf with squid. Cooking:
- Rinse and boil the rice until half cooked (no more than 15 minutes).
- Rinse and process the squid carcasses, sprinkling them with boiling water, so that the skin is easier to exfoliate. Cut into cubes.
- Peel the purple onion and carrot, cut everything into strips and put on a hot frying pan with oil, lightly fry until soft and put rice and squid in it.
- Transfer everything to a cauldron (pot), add salt and pepper, pour a cup of water and put in the oven to bake for about fifteen minutes until the steamed rice is ready.
- Serve pilaf with squid on the table hot, garnished with halves of cherry, sprinkled with your favorite greens.
