Holidays for the hostess are not so much an occasion to showcase their culinary talents as an opportunity to supplement their arsenal with new mouth-watering dishes. According to Russian tradition, tables should be full of beautiful, satisfying and special foods. You can make it memorable with the help of various and unique salads.
We offer a recipe for an extraordinary and very tasty dish - Salad "Mushroom Meadow", which will look spectacular, and will also be able to please guests with its original taste.
To prepare it you will need:
- half a liter of pickled whole mushrooms of the same size;
- three large boiled potato tubers;
- two medium boiled carrots;
- three hundred grams of boiled chicken;
- three boiled eggs;
- several pickled cucumbers;
- mayonnaise;
- green onion feathers;
- one hundred grams of lettuce leaves;
- fifty grams of parsley and dill.
The highlight of the dish will be the appearance and spectacular presentation. Therefore, the Mushroom Meadow salad is best prepared in a deep bowl with a wide bottom and high sides. Cover it with cling film or carefully and gently spread with oil.
Next, we begin to lay out on the bottom very tightly, next to each other, pickled mushrooms with the hat down. It is recommended to purchase a jar of small canned mushrooms. Strong mushrooms or mushrooms are also suitable, and mushrooms must have a hat and a leg.
Next, grind washed and sorted parsley and dill, mix them thoroughly. We begin to gently and densely fill the mixture with mushrooms. It is necessary to ensure that the greens cover them completely. Feet should not stick out. It is recommended to make the layer necessarily dense. To achieve this effect, the greens need to be tamped a little, trying not to leave the mushrooms.
Then apply the mayonnaise mesh. The main rule in this case is that there is not too much sauce. Otherwise, the Mushroom Meadow salad will turn out to be very liquid. Therefore, it is recommended to save mayonnaise on a layer of greens.
Now, using a coarse grater, grind the carrots, spread it on top of the greens. This must be done by tightly tamping so that the greens are not visible. Be sure to apply a mayonnaise grid, which should be a little more generous than the previous one.
The next layer is recommended to put a thin straw of pickled cucumbers. But it must be borne in mind that it must be squeezed out, otherwise excess moisture can overmoisten the Mushroom Meadow salad. Next, we press down the cucumbers a little, make a mayonnaise net, but not very thick.
Exactly the same strips need to chop chicken. We spread it on the salad, apply the sauce. If you wish, you can use ham or boiled pork.
The next layer should be coarsely grated eggs. It is recommended to salt and make a generous net of mayonnaise.
The last layer is coarsely grated potatoes. Salt it a little and grease well with mayonnaise.
The dish must be left overnight in the refrigerator so that it is saturated. If this is not possible, then it will be enough to hold it for three to four hours at room temperature.
Now letβs dwell on how to prepare the Mushroom Meadow salad for the arrival of guests so that it acquires its spectacular appearance. To do this, lay salad leaves on the bottom of a beautiful dish, then turn over the container in which our salad was made, upside down and put on greens. Now very carefully remove it so that the layers of the salad do not crumble, and the mushrooms, like a real mushroom clearing, would remain on top. Next, decorate the surface with sprigs of dill and parsley.
