The product is in the form of a light brown syrup. It has a sweet fruity taste and a cherry smell.

Adults are recommended to take 5-7.5 ml of syrup three times a day.
For the treatment of infants (children under 1 year old), it is strictly forbidden to use Pectolvan Ivy. Instructions for children over 1 year are as follows:
- from 1 to 6 years - three times a day, 2.5 ml of syrup;
- from 6 to 10 years - three times a day, 5 ml of syrup;
- from 10 years, the drug can be taken according to the instructions for adults.
