How to cure streptococcus in the throat
As a rule, antibiotics are prescribed to get rid of this disease. They are selected by a doctor, who takes into account the patientβs age, the complexity of the disease, the presence or absence of an allergy to various components of the drugs. If antibiotics are started in the first two days after infection with streptococci, the disease begins to recede within a couple of days. In the case when streptococci in the throat occur more than five times a year and cause a violation of normal breathing, which can lead to its sudden stop, they resort to surgery, removing the tonsils. That is why timely diagnosis of the disease is the success and guarantee of a speedy recovery. Also, reception of immunomodulating agents of natural origin: garlic, raspberries, walnuts, strawberries, onions, carrots, burdock, and yarrow will not hurt.
Streptococcus in the throat: possible complications
The consequences of the disease can be divided into 2 groups:
- The early ones. They occur on the 5-6th day of the disease, accompanied by a large accumulation of pus and its spread through the blood. This can lead to otitis media, sinusitis, meningitis, pneumonia, and endocarditis.
- Late. They appear a few weeks after the disease. They are non-purulent in nature and lead to rheumatism or inflammation of the kidneys.
