early years
Igor Gasparyan was born on August 6, 1974 in the small Ukrainian town of Sverdlovsk, located in the Voroshilovgrad region. My father worked as a driver, my mother as a doctor. In childhood, when falling, he broke his nose, and he began to have breathing problems. When the parents brought in for the operation, they were promised that there would be no swelling and scar. Doctors removed the hump, inserted cartilage, but brought the infection. In general, the guy remained with a crooked nose. However, despite the small growth and non-standard appearance, no one laughed at school. The guy grew up a bully, according to his behavior he always received deuces. From the age of 14 he began to play for the national team of the KVN school, which for three years was the best in the city. At the same time, the guy was determined to become an actor in theater and cinema.
From about seven years to twenty, Gasparyan was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling. Twice became the silver medalist of the Ukrainian Championship, for which he was recognized as an athlete of the year in his native Sverdlovsk and received the title of candidate for master of sports.
Training
Igor Gasparyan graduated from the school in 1991, in difficult years for the entire post-Soviet space. He always dreamed of studying at the famous theater universities of Moscow, but due to lack of money he was forced to stay at home. He entered the theater institute in Kiev, but was not accepted because of his small stature (148 cm). But they took to the acting department of the Lugansk Theater School, which he graduated in 1996 with a break for military service.
I could not immediately find work in my specialty, and from 1996 to 1998 I worked as a wrestling coach, led a school theater club, and sold pancakes in the market. Since 1997, he began to engage in powerlifting - powerlifting, became a master of sports, winning bronze medals at the national championship. And next year he became the champion of Ukraine in a separate exercise - bench press.
Relocation to Russia
At the age of 27, Igor Gasparyan came to Moscow, he planned to earn some money and return home. At first he lived with his cousin, who rented a two-room apartment. The hostess lived in one room, the relative's family in the other, and Igor was allowed to live in the kitchen. He only came home for the night, slept on chairs. His brother helped him get a job as a loader, then he worked as a janitor in a dormitory, where he was allocated a locker in which the instrument was stored. Igor himself says that he was very afraid of the police, because he was taken to the monkey several times with a typical Caucasian face and without registration. He then thought only of one thing - if only he would not be deported.
To be closer to art, Gasparyan decided to get a job at Mosfilm. However, at the entrance to the film studio he was told that neither movers nor janitors were needed there. When he already wanted to leave, he saw an ad for a set of extras. It was necessary to go to the checkpoint with photographs that very day. The quality of the photo of Igor Gasparyan during the time of sports wasn’t liked by the assistant, but he said: “Okay, write down your mobile number”. The future actor left the number of the secretary in the hostel, attributing nearby: "Ask Igor the janitor."
Film career
After a while, they called him, and in the first two days of filming in Karen Shakhnazarov’s film "The Horseman named Death" he earned 1,100 rubles, despite the fact that he received 150 rubles as a janitor. per day. Then he was invited to the Night Watch, for which $ 50 was paid. In those days, for Igor it was just a huge income. And he really enjoyed acting.
Now he has 131 work in the cinema. At first there were extras, then cameo roles, and after the series “Fighter” Gasparyan began to be recognized on the street. But the popular series “Students” became a real breakthrough for the actor, after the premiere of which he was often invited to take pictures on television.

Igor Gasparyan is married to his classmate Alla. At first they studied in parallel classes, and the last two years of school - already together. But then they had no relationship.
