If you are going to spend the evening watching a movie, then this is likely to be an American film. Action, comedy, melodrama, science fiction - tapes of all genres are stamped with amazing speed at the Hollywood Wonder Factory. It is these films that account for the lion's share of all the box office worldwide , and it is Hollywood actors who are known around the world. Of course, there are other works - French, English, Brazilian and Turkish, even domestic cinema shows some signs of life. And yet, in terms of audience interest, they do not reach Hollywood films. I would like to note that films from other countries (including Russian ones) are no worse, and often even better. Hollywood is simply a gigantic monopoly that does not want to let anyone into its market. All tricks are used: multimillion-dollar commercials to support the next tape, re-shooting (remake) of a foreign film with a good plot, study of demand, etc.

American action movies have long been synonymous with the most base and, to put it mildly, low-intellectual films. And there are reasons for this. Recall typical American action movies of the 80-90s. These tapes were created according to one primitive template:
1. Unkillable protagonist. Even a direct shot in the heart or a fracture of the spine (blindness, lameness, amnesia) cannot stop his fight against all the injustices of the world (universal evil, the main villain, a gang of thugs).
2. The use of the most amazing weapons: pistols with infinite rounds of ammunition, rocket launchers (which were “accidentally lying around” with a good friend of the protagonist), swords, nunchaku, etc. Moreover, the protagonist is excellent at using all of these devices and has various methods fighting: from the secret developments of the Shaolin monks to freestyle wrestling with the use of mops and other improvised equipment.
3. American militants are distinguished by simply a fantastic number of killings by nuclear devices (missiles) - the number of corpses ranges from several tens to hundreds of thousands.
4. The abundance of explosions: a helicopter explodes from a well-thrown stone, a house - from planted bombs, a car - just like that. Even bicycles and mailboxes explode.
5. The plot is based on revenge.
What is the difference between the 2013 American action movie and its predecessors? Basically, the films remained the same: the incredibly cool main characters, a lot of fights, weapons, explosions. True, there are changes for the better: ammunition in weapons began to run out (according to at least some logical laws), the number of rocket launchers and hand grenade launchers per average hero decreased, and the main story lines began to be built not in revenge for the beloved girl (brother , father, cousin’s second cousin’s nephew on the maternal side), and on the fact that the main characters by chance get involved in some unexpected events. This is not to say that it has become more believable (the wrong genre), but the lack of frank kinolapy clearly benefited. In general, to watch or not watch American action movies, only you should choose. This genre is either loved and accepted with all its shortcomings, or they don’t look at all.
