Annular granuloma

Ring-shaped granuloma (lat. Granuloma anulare) - is a chronic dermatosis of unclear origin of a recurring type, most likely of a polyetiological nature, characterized by the appearance on the skin surface of a large number of dense nodules-granulomas, which are grouped in the form of rings.

The development of annular granuloma is considered in the form of a morphological expression of a hyperergic inflammatory reaction of the skin, which is infected with various heterogeneous factors. Ring-shaped granuloma is associated with sarcoidosis, rheumatism, various chronic infections (especially tuberculosis - a kind of tuberculide), but the granulomatous process is not the result of a pathogen, but an altered tissue reactivity.

With annular granuloma, various violations of humoral and cellular immunity are very important: an increase in the levels of IgG, IgM, followed by deposition of the latter, as well as the SZ component of the compliment on the walls of small vessels. There are cases when the rheumatoid factor, anti-body to DNA, manifests itself, the process in the nucleation itself may be similar to the features of the Arthus phenomenon. Ring-shaped granuloma in its further development develops as HRT, with the participation of immune complexes, which are accompanied by an increase in CEC. Along with this, there is a theory that the annular granuloma is a type of connective tissue disease.

In annular granuloma, endocrinopathies, especially carbohydrate metabolism disorders (skin hyperglycemia), play a very important role. A history of patients often reveals diabetes mellitus, which is a significant risk factor for microangiopathies.

Ring-shaped granuloma in children and adults is no different, only the treatment method, or rather the dosage of the necessary drugs, is different.

Annular granuloma. Treatment and first steps

With annular granuloma, there are a number of diets necessary to successfully get rid of this infection. Limit yourself to foods high in carbohydrates, to people who have a high body weight - food with small calories is contraindicated. Most likely, if you see a doctor, he will prescribe you one of the following drugs and supplements: vitamins from group B, Tocopherol Acetate, Retinol, Ergocalciferol, ascorbic acid, Ferroceron, Hemostimulin, Askofer "," Zhektofer "," Ferrum-Lek "," Conferon ". If you notice that a ring-shaped granuloma appears on the skin, immediately proceed to irrigate the infected area with chloroethyl. Carbonic acid snow and liquid nitrogen are also used to treat the skin .

If ring-shaped granulomas occur, another good treatment method is rubbing the damaged area with various ointments, chipping with a suspension of hydrocortisone. Ointments are used by those that contain corticosteroid drugs: Locoid, Eloc.

For common, deep forms of annular granulomas, which are torpid to radiation, they often recommend NSAIDs, UFOs, sometimes small courses of systemic corticosteroids, aminoquinolines, re-PUVA therapy, and aromatic retinoids. But it is worth noting that these methods of treatment listed above are poorly understood and can cause both minor side effects and serious problems.

Do not forget that for the complete removal of the annular granuloma, just breaking one ligament is enough. After rupture, the entire infected area slowly begins to subside and acquire a normal natural appearance. But some, not knowing that their granuloma has already subsided, continue to take therapeutic measures at home.
