William Stryker vs. Mutants

As a military scientist in the US Army, William Stryker was one of the developers of the Weapon X program, which was to create super-soldiers for government needs. For example, they came up with adamantium - the metal that covers the skeleton of Wolverine.

That day

Once, while driving with his wife through the desert in Nevada, they were forced to stop due to a car breakdown. In addition to this, Marcy started labor pains, so William had to give birth on his own. Everything went smoothly, only the child turned out to be a mutant. Accusing the wife of everything, he killed her. And after that he made several attempts to commit suicide, but remained alive, having drawn certain conclusions from this.

He decided that he could not die, because God needed on Earth. The illness of the son, and that is what he called the feature of Jason, was familiar from above. Now he will devote his life to the extermination of mutants, because they are the personification of evil and a threat to the whole world.

William becomes a preacher on television so that as many people as possible experience the same hatred that he experienced. So there was a group of "Cleaners", whose members were to catch and destroy mutants. True, the loud name was too weak organization. Of course, they were lucky to kill several inexperienced students of Professor Xavier. But after that, William was immediately caught and arrested, and his enterprise itself broke up.

Nimrod

Returning from prison, William Stryker was not left idle. After all, his belief that all mutants are evil, not only has not dried up, but has intensified even more. He met Nimrod, a guardian from the alternative Universe (a series of β€œDays of the Past Future”), which had already moved several times in time. Using his memory, William learned a lot about the future. This allowed him to warn people who were soon in danger. One of these was the first-class shooter - Matthew Riesman. It is such people who revived the once-forgotten group "Purifiers". Only now their activity has become much more effective.

Inspired by the events that occurred during the β€œDay-M”, when many mutants could not return from the reality created by the Scarlet Witch, the followers of William Stryker began their hunt. Then they got to many mutants. For example, died Laurie Collins (Wallflower), able to control pheromones. And with her, the winged mutant Icarus stopped breathing. All of them were part of Professor Xavier's new squad. True, Stryker was able to stop the mutant Omega-level - Elixir. But the "Purifiers" this time did not disappear, they had a new leader - Matthew Riesman.

Bastion

There was a time when Striker's services were needed by the Bastion, a cybernetic guard who hates mutants. He had to work with Graydon Creed, Stephen Lang and Bolivar Trask. When the Bastion tracked down Hope Summers and Cables, he sent a team of "Purifiers" to kill them.

Even the X-Men who arrived in time were in a difficult situation. After all, the followers of the Bastion conducted a ritual, thanks to which many mutants lost their abilities. The situation was saved by Warren Worthington. Having taken the form of the Archangel, he takes the Purifiers to flight and kills William Stryker, cutting him in half.

Ultimate (Earth 1610)

In an alternate universe, the fate of William has not changed much. He again loses his family and, heartbroken, decides to follow in the footsteps of his father, who has long hated mutants. Armed and collecting the required number of fighters, they attack the Xavier school. And the first victim is the mutant Syndicate: they shoot him right on the lawn.

Then the squad attacks the Fire Star and the Toad, but Rogue, the Juggernaut, Victor Creed and John Reith come to their aid. William Stryker deals with Wright, and then engages in a fight with the Juggernaut. But Rogue ends their brawl. Touching William, she sucks out his energy, but somehow saves the villain's life.

After some time, William Stryker (Marvel) interrogates Alice Cartwright, a woman who allegedly has information about the whereabouts of the mutants. She refuses to talk, so they get rid of her. However, the Cleaners find freight containers in which the mutants were transported. They are all sinners, and if they do not repent, they must die.

Jimmy Hudson, Torch Man, Rogue, and Aisman are trying to stop the mutant genocide. But Stryker reveals to them the secret of Rogue, who turned out to be a double agent and was supposed to lead them to this place. Rogue admits that this is true, and in the meantime Kitty Pride appears and rushes at Stryker. She penetrates through his suit, but it turns out that he is also a mutant who is able to control technologies and various equipment. He is going to take advantage of this.

William Stryker takes control of the Sentinels sent by the government. And those begin the massacre, in which not only the mutants die, but also the people who supported them. As soon as the Sentinels devastate America, somewhere in the Arizona desert they create the Sentinel - a hunting robot designed to be identified and destroyed.

And in the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past, Stryker (Josh Hemil) was the bodyguard of Bolivar Trask and a mutant hunter.

But what about the son of William Stryker?

Killing Marcy, William did not touch his son, as he decided to cure him. He sent Jason to the school of Professor Xavier, hoping he could cure him. However, Professor X could not help, but it was dangerous to leave him at school, as the guy was too embittered and used his interesting abilities for negative purposes.

Creating terrible illusions in the heads of other mutants and ordinary people, he pushed them to very bad deeds. In general, he did not succeed in becoming a good man. Therefore, Jason left school and became one of the worst enemies of the X-Men.
