Now you can start cooking the sauce. To do this, grind onions, and then fry it in olive oil. Skinless tomatoes and Bulgarian pepper finely chop and add to the pan. Fry vegetables until soft. Our sauce is ready.

Next, cut the tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini in equal circles of equal thickness. In a deep plate, mix the garlic, passed through the press, with olive oil and Provencal herbs. Mix the mass and add a little salt.

Now we take the baking dish, spread the sauce on its bottom with an even layer. On top we lay out rows of vegetables, alternating circles of blue, tomatoes and zucchini. The dish is generously sprinkled with olive oil with herbs and garlic. Close the form with a sheet of foil and put in the oven. Bake vegetables for thirty minutes. After we remove the foil and cook another twenty minutes.

Red cabbage salad

Red cabbage can be used to make lean salad. The taste of such a dish is slightly different than that of white cabbage. However, it only benefits from this. It is preparing very quickly.

Ingredients:

  • head of cabbage,

  • sugar,
  • pepper,
  • vegetable oil,
  • vinegar,
  • salt,
  • black pepper.

Cut the onions in half rings, add sugar, pepper, salt and pour in a mixture of boiling water and vinegar. Leave the onion to marinate for five minutes.

Red cabbage salad

Next, wash the cabbage and chop it finely. Add sugar and salt, then mash hands. In a salad bowl, mix cabbage, pickled onions and chopped greens. We season the dish with vegetable oil.

Potato salad

Lenten salads are a real salvation for those who fast. Among the variety of dishes, you can find recipes that allow you to cook a very satisfying and tasty food. Potato salad, for example, can be a full dinner or breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • jacket potatoes (480 g),
  • a can of peas
  • Korean carrots (270 g).

For refueling:

  • garlic,
  • dill,
  • vegetable oil and salt.

For salad, we need potatoes boiled in their uniforms. As for Korean carrots, you can cook it yourself. However, purchased in the store is also suitable.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Mix it with carrots with a fork. Next, add a can of peas to the salad. Mix everything again. As a dressing we use a mass of vegetable oil, minced dill and garlic. The resulting sauce is added to the salad and mix it. The dish is ready to eat.

Lenten Dumplings

Some of our favorite dishes can be made lean. So, for example, you can cook lean dumplings.

Ingredients:

  • water (170 ml)
  • flour (320 g),
  • salt,
  • 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil.

For filling:

  • dried mushrooms (20 g),
  • six potatoes
  • vegetable oil,
  • bow,
  • pepper.

Let's start cooking lean dough. Sift the flour into a wide basin , then add vegetable oil and salt, pour water. Using a wooden spoon, knead the dough. Next, continue to knead it on the table with his hands. Roll the finished mass into a ball, cover with a film and leave for an hour to make the dough infused.

Lenten dumplings

Meanwhile, you can begin to prepare the filling. Dried mushrooms are transferred to a bowl and pour boiling water. They must infuse in the water for at least thirty minutes. After mushrooms, wash and fill them with strained mushroom infusion. Bring them to a boil and cook for about thirty minutes. We take out the ready-made mushrooms with a slotted spoon and cut into small pieces.

On the resulting mushroom broth, you can cook lean soup.

By the way, you can use fresh or frozen mushrooms for cooking. To do this, they must be fried.

Peel the potatoes and put them in water. Turn on the fire and bring to a boil. Add salt and cook until tender. Knead the finished potatoes until mashed.

Potato broth should not be poured, because it can still be useful to us. For example, you can add it a little in mashed potatoes so that it is not so dry.

Finely chop the onion and fry in a pan. Then add the mushrooms and cook together a couple of minutes. Then we shift the mass in mashed potatoes. We mix all the ingredients. Filling for lean dumplings is ready. You can add salt and pepper to it.

Now roll out the dough. Cut the same circles with a glass, put the filling in the center of each and fasten the edges. We put a large pot of water on the fire and bring it to a boil. Dip dumplings in boiling water. Mix the mass very carefully with a spoon so that the dough does not stick to the bottom. After boiling dumplings, cook another five to seven minutes. The finished dish can be served with fried onions and vegetable oil.

Cabbage soup

Lean cabbage soup is a traditional Russian dish, though without meat. If at any other time they can be cooked with meat, then during the fasting period you will have to limit yourself only to vegetables. Lean cabbage soup can be prepared not only from sauerkraut, but also from fresh cabbage. A variety of cereals can also be used for a dish.

Ingredients:

Ingredients:

  • liquid honey (two tbsp. l.),
  • the same amount of vegetable oil
  • flour (1.5 cups.),
  • sugar (1/2 cup.),
  • salt,
  • glass of water,
  • baking powder.

Mix vegetable oil with honey and water. Add salt and sugar. Mix everything thoroughly. Next, pour the baking powder and sifted flour. Mix the ingredients. We should get a fairly dense mass. If necessary, you can add water. The dough should have a consistency, as for the preparation of classic muffins.

For further preparation of lean baking, you will need molds. You can take metal and grease them with oil. Silicone is also suitable. They are good because they do not need lubrication. You can also use paper forms. In each we put lean dough, filling only 2/3 of the volume. Cooking baking for 20-25 minutes.

  • five apples,
  • tea bag.

The dough is incredibly simple to make. Dissolve the yeast in warm water and add sugar, vegetable oil and flour. Next, knead the dough and leave it to infuse in a warm place. As the filling, we will use apples. We clean them from the skin and cut into slices. Sprinkle lemon juice on top. Add sugar to the filling.

We make tea in a cup and put some sugar in it. From the dough we roll out the base for the pie. Next, we line it with a shape. Lubricate the cake on top with tea and spread the apple filling evenly. Bake the cake for no more than thirty minutes. Such a lean dessert will appeal to all the sweet tooth.

Lenten roll with poppy seeds

This recipe for a lean dish allows you to cook a wonderful dessert with poppy seeds and honey.

Ingredients:

  • three glasses of flour
  • water (2.5 glasses),
  • a pack of yeast
  • vegetable oil (3/4 cup.),
  • honey (tbsp),
  • a little ground almonds.

For filling:

  • according to Art. l honey and sugar
  • two glasses of poppy
  • another handful of almonds.

Pour water into the pan and add the yeast. Stir the mass and fill the flour. Knead the dough and leave it to rise. After cracks appear on the mass, it is necessary to knead it. Then add salt and a quarter cup of vegetable oil. We also fall asleep chopped almonds and honey. Knead the dough until you get a consistency like for pies. In a deep large saucepan, heat the oil. We put chopped onion in it, which we pass for about five minutes. Add garlic there and cook for a couple of minutes. After we put tomato paste, chopped canned tomatoes and Provence herbs.

Open a can of beans, drain the liquid and rinse the beans well. Add water to the frying container and bring the mass to a boil. After pour the beans and cook it for fifteen minutes. You also need to add pepper, sugar, salt and vinegar. We cover the pan with a lid and cook another ten minutes.

Tomato soup

Now we start preparing croutons. In a plate, mix vegetable oil and chopped garlic. Cut the baguette into cubes. We shift them into the garlic mass and mix thoroughly. We put the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the oven. Croutons are ready in just five minutes. We serve soup with croutons on the table.

Meatless pies

Ingredients:

  • vegetable oil (120 g),
  • water for the test (740 g),
  • dry yeast (packaging),
  • sugar (480 g)
  • flour,
  • bow,
  • cabbage (head of medium size),
  • salt.

Sugar, salt, yeast dissolved in heated water. Sift flour (one and a half kg). Next, knead the dough. It should not be too malleable. Cover the mass with a towel and put in a warm place. Forty minutes later, the dough must be kneaded.

Now you can start preparing the filling. Finely chop the cabbage, transfer it to a deep container and pour boiling water. Fifteen minutes later, drain the water and fry the cabbage with onions in a pan.

One and a half hours after we have kneaded the dough, you can knead it again. Next, we roll it into a layer and cut out the same circles with a glass. In the middle of each we spread cabbage stuffing. We fasten the edges of the pies and transfer them to a baking sheet with parchment. Baking should stand for about fifteen minutes.

Meatless pies

Next, send the pies to the oven. Bake them for about 15 minutes. So that they do not burn, you can put a pan with water under a baking sheet. Ready cakes can be greased with sweet tea.

Lean pancakes

During fasting, you can treat yourself to lean pancakes. It would seem what kind of pancakes without milk and eggs. However, there are recipes that allow you to cook a wonderful dish. Lean pancakes are low-calorie and lighter. They can be diversified by adding the filling, or just serve them with honey or jam. If you like sweets, you can fill the pancakes with a mixture of dried fruits, nuts and honey. Salted fillings are no less popular - mashed potatoes, buckwheat mushrooms, stewed cabbage and more.

What can I eat during fasting?

According to the rules, you can only cook Lenten meals in Lent. Of course, for such a long time it is very difficult to eat such food. To understand what you can cook and what not, you need to figure out which products are lean.

These include: all cereals, mushrooms, vegetables, legumes, peas, fruits, vegetable fats, pickled and salted vegetables, soy products, greens, pasta, olives, dried fruits, candied fruits, seeds, nuts, jams, jam, halva, marmalade, fish.

But poultry, meat, dairy products, sour-milk, sour cream, cheeses are strictly forbidden. Also, you can not cook dishes based on such components.
