Fish is one of the most useful products: it is digested much faster than meat, and it contains beneficial amino acids, and it has a positive effect on the brain and cardiovascular system.
Stewed fish is especially useful . It can be offered to young children, and those who have digestive problems, and the elderly. Many people like this fish simply because it is delicious.
It is not difficult to stew fish. The only subtlety is that you need to have good special dishes for this. It is better if it is a pan or a ducklings with a thick bottom and walls. Pre-gutted fish should be thoroughly cleaned of scales and fins, cut off the head and tail. Then, depending on the recipe, the fish is rubbed with salt, pepper and lemon. You can also use special sets of spices for fish. They are sold in large supermarkets. However, you can make a similar composition yourself. To do this, just buy and mix basil, mustard, rosemary and coriander. Such a mixture will make the meat of any fish incredibly fragrant and give it a specific taste.
After that, the fish (fillet, pieces, whole carcasses) is placed in prepared dishes and poured with sauce and (or) water. Everything is suitable for the sauce: salted milk, sour cream, mayonnaise, tomato. There are also many special recipes for fish sauces. However, in our opinion, this is quite enough if you want to preserve the original taste of fish.
Then the dishes are set on fire. Cooking time depends on the type of fish and the final result. Fatty fish: salmon, shark, trout, stewed quickly. Dryer and stiffer, respectively, a longer time. Usually a fish stew is cooked from twenty minutes to an hour and a half. In the latter case, you will receive a virtually boneless treat, which, however, will have to be eaten with a spoon rather than a fork. Therefore, it is up to you to determine which fish stew you prefer.
Many housewives also practice adding vegetables and herbs to the fish. Stewed fish with carrots is especially tasty. Prepared in this way, it acquires a sweet aftertaste and is enriched with additional vitamins. You can grate carrots (if you prefer a soft side dish). You can - just cut into cubes and lay around the fish. Then the carrots will retain their original appearance and only soften slightly. At the same time, do not forget that you will need an additional pinch of salt and pepper, as carrots actively absorb all the spices. In addition to carrots, you can put chopped onions, garlic and herbs. You can also pre-fry both the fish itself and the vegetables with which you will season the fish.
Fish stewed with potatoes is also very tasty. In addition to the fact that as a result you get a ready-made side dish, stewed potatoes in this way will get a wonderful sharp aftertaste.
To prepare this dish, you need to cut the fish into small pieces, and potatoes and onions - into circles or small slices. Then everything is placed in the dishes, seasoned with spices and sauce and put on fire. If you do not want to shred fish and potatoes, it is worth trying to stew it whole. This will require much more time, but as a result you will get an aesthetically great dish in the best restaurant traditions. Some gourmets also add chopped apples to potatoes. Fish stew prepared in this way (especially if you have your own homemade apples) gets an even more refined aftertaste, because depending on the variety of apples, it can be either slightly sweet, tart, or sour.
In any case, no matter what method you put out the fish, in the end you will always have a healthy and tasty dish.
