In connection with the many symptoms of this disease, special attention should be paid to the course of the disease and the general well-being of a person. Currently, VVD is not an official disease with established treatment, however, in our country, about 30% of the population complain of a combination of symptoms, which are commonly called vegetative-vascular dystonia. Nevertheless, some doctors still recognize the malfunctioning of the vascular system, despite excellent tests, and distinguishes several types of VSD. In this article, we consider in detail one of them according to the cardiac type.
General VSD symptoms in adults are usually divided into four main groups: hypotensive, hypertensive , mixed and cardiac . The first three groups are united by the main symptom - instability of blood pressure, and with cardiac - blood pressure remains within reasonable limits. This is what distinguishes it, and for this reason many simply refuse to diagnose VVD in a patient.
It should be understood that general symptoms are present in all types of the disease, but are not required when making a diagnosis. So how do you recognize your type and decide on treatment? To begin with, you should find out if you are in a risk zone, and if not, then analyze the symptoms present in detail: after all, VVD symptoms in adults can differ greatly from signs in children and elderly people.
Who is at risk
Long-term monitoring of patients revealed a group of people who are most susceptible to the development of various types of VSD in them , namely:
- Excitable people with an unstable nervous and mental system. They are very emotional and stressful and react to exciting situations very sharply.
- Patients whose immediate blood relatives are faced with VVD. Although the genetic transmission of the disease is not yet proven.
- People forced to constantly experience emotional stress are defectively or poorly satisfying their biological needs for food, sleep and rest.
- Having suffered severe or moderate infectious, viral diseases several times in a short period or once.
- Women during hormonal changes (puberty, menopause).
Symptoms of cardiac VSD
Doctors make a diagnosis of cardiac- type VSD if there are several episodes of recurrence of these symptoms:
- The disturbance of the heart rhythm felt by the patient is clearly or blurred both when performing simple work and in a state of relative rest (arrhythmic disturbance of the heart).
- Constant or sometimes "lack" of air. A person in a state of sleep or rest cannot catch his breath.
- Painful, exhausting sensations in the chest (tingling, burning, sharp cramps).
- Prolonged dizziness, accompanied by a deterioration in performance up to the desire to completely stop any, even mild, activity.
- Doubtful or slight changes in the testimony obtained by electrocardiographic examination.
- The absence of physical changes in all parts of the heart (determined by ultrasound, MRI and others).
- Lack of vitality, tone against the background of relatively positive results of instrumental examinations and blood tests.
- Mental changes - fear, panic attacks.
Cardiac-type VVD and pregnancy: is there a relationship
Cardiac-type VSD during pregnancy is a rather rare occurrence, since this type of disease manifests itself in pathologies of the cardiovascular system itself and does not depend on the hormonal state of the body. Other types of VSD during pregnancy are more likely, as well as in teenage hormonal “shakes”.
Cardiac-type VSD is little dependent on hormones. Symptoms, the treatment of which causes difficulties in the majority of the population, completely coincide both in people in adolescence and in pregnant women. The last treatment prescribed is non-pharmacological with a mild course of VVD according to the cardiac type. This is due to the peculiarity of their position. In severe cases, a consultation of a neurologist and a psychiatrist is needed to prescribe a treatment that can, without damaging the fetus, help a woman.
VSD and service in the RA
More and more young men and men are getting an entry in the medical card “ VVD by cardiac type” from doctors . Are they enlisted in such a diagnosis?
Doctors are required to appoint an examination to a draftee who has been observed by a neurologist or in the cardiology department with such a disease in order to exclude other cardiac diseases. If no physical pathologies have been identified, and the symptoms have been documented, the group “B” is determined for the conscript, in which he is called up only in the event of a national military mobilization.
Body restoration and treatment for VVD
Cardiac- type VSD treatment is long-term and is prescribed by several doctors.
Medication primarily consists of sedatives of plant origin (valerian, motherwort).
It is customary for neuropathologists to prescribe drugs that improve the ability to quickly fall asleep. Be sure to prescribe vitamins, which include potassium, manganese and others. They nourish the heart muscles, normalize its work. Nootropic drugs, antidepressants, vascular drugs are taken strictly according to the indications and after a detailed examination by a neurologist, cardiologist and psychiatrist.
Treatment without drugs: effective methods
Depending on the symptoms, only non-pharmacological treatment of GVA according to the cardiac type is possible , which is necessary when taking medications:
- Normalization of the rhythm of life. Strict alternation of activity and rest during the day.
- Strict and complete rejection of bad habits (tobacco, any type of alcohol).
- The ban on taking any medication without the consent of the physician monitoring the course of the disease.
- Enough sleep time. Nice sleeping place.
- Light exercise, preferably in the fresh air.
- Therapy with aromatic oils.
- Acupuncture.
Diet for Dystonia
With vegetovascular dystonia ( GVA ) according to the cardiac type, nutritionists and doctors recommend a change of diet. It should be enriched, light, but include a complete set of proteins, complex carbohydrates and vegetable fats.
It is limited to consume table salt and strong spicy spices.
Caffeine and tianin - containing drinks should be eliminated completely. Coffee and tea are replaced with herbal (chamomile, mint, lemon balm) teas, sugar-free compotes.
VSD treatment
The timely examination and treatment of cardiac- type VVD helps to improve and prolong the life of patients. Positive dynamics is observed only with full compliance with the recommendations of doctors and the general mood of the patient with dystonia. If a person does not want to change his lifestyle, the chances of a cure are minimal.
Possible complications if untreated
Complications caused by vegetovascular dystonia ( VVD ) of the cardiac type affect all parts of the heart and blood vessels, as well as other organs and systems. With dystonia, the risk of heart attacks, angina pectoris , and serious damage to the heart increases many times . Therefore, one cannot ignore this disease and treat it with rash ease.
