Leave the washed rice without water in a bowl for about 15 minutes. During this time, it absorbs the remaining liquid. This point is very important if you need loose rice.
  • We heat the pan (necessarily with a thick bottom) on the stove. Pour vegetable oil. Once the butter is hot, pour the whole rice. Stirring, warm the rice grains for at least three minutes. At first the rice will whiten completely, but then you will notice how it becomes more transparent and golden. This is a sign: you need to salt the cereal.
  • Pour prepared water into a bowl with rice grains. Do not forget that in the end we need friable rice in a pan, so the water must be hot. At medium temperature, bring the liquid to a boil and then reduce the heat to a minimum. Cover with a lid.
  • In such conditions, the cereal will be 20-30 minutes. The exact time depends on the rice variety and some other nuances. Watch the readiness of the dish. It is advisable not to mix the contents of the pan. If it has a non-stick coating - perfect! If your frying pan belongs to the category of ordinary ones, then sometimes immerse the scapula deep into the rice mass in order to check if the rice has burned.
  • When the liquid component of the dish is fully boiled and the grains are almost ready, we wait another 15 minutes, tightly covering the pan with a lid. At this time, you can begin to prepare for dinner. Another 15 minutes passed, and now the crumbly rice in the pan is completely ready.

The list of ingredients:

  • rice - 1 cup;
  • carrots - 1-2 pieces;
  • onion medium diameter - 1 piece;
  • salt to taste;
  • garlic - 2 prongs;
  • vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons;
  • seasoning for pilaf;
  • hot water - 2 glasses.

We thoroughly rinse the groats. Peel and chop onions and carrots. Peel and crush the garlic through a press. Fry vegetables in a skillet in vegetable oil until tender.

We put the vegetables in a separate bowl and start cooking rice. Fry it until transparent over moderate heat. Add seasonings for pilaf. We wait for the barely noticeable golden hue of the cereal and immediately introduce the vegetables. Salt and mix the ingredients. Fill with hot water. Reduce the stove to a minimum. We expect, without covering, seven minutes. No need to interfere with the dish. Water should itself evaporate in the process. When this happens, cover the dishes with a lid for five minutes. We turn off the burner and, without opening it, wait 10 minutes. During this time, the rice will be steamed and will reach the desired condition. The dish is ready!
