Chicken on a bottle: what could be easier and tastier?

How to cook chicken on a bottle?

A broiler chicken weighing more than a kilogram is suitable for a dish. The carcass should be well washed inside and out and remove the tips of the wings, lungs, tail and other unnecessary parts. You will also need a bottle on which the chicken will cook. Previously, milk bottles were used for these purposes. Now they are not released and you will need to look for something suitable. You can not do without mayonnaise or sour cream (we need about 150 g), salt and spices. Spices can be selected to your liking (most often these are varieties of pepper, adjika) or you can buy a bag of ready-made spices, which is roughly called "For Chicken". As an ingredient in this unusual dish, you will need another half liter of dark beer or white wine. If there was no beer near, the water, in which you can put spicy herbs, garlic, a few peas of pepper and a bay leaf, will fit perfectly.

First, prepare the mayonnaise sauce to grease the chicken. Add mayonnaise to spices and salt. We rub the chicken with the resulting sauce and leave it to lie for two to three hours, so that it is slightly marinated.

In the meantime, prepare the bottle. It should be perfectly clean, without any residue of paper and glue. We fill the vessel with beer or water with spices. The liquid should be slightly warm if we place the dish in a heated oven.

When the chicken is marinated, put it on the bottle. The chicken should hug the vessel well. The chicken bottle must be placed on a baking sheet or in a pan in which to pour water. Some cooks recommend pouring just cereals. This is done so that the juice flowing from the chicken does not burn.

We put the whole structure in a non-hot oven, as it can crack in a hot bottle and you will not be able to eat chicken. Or we proceed as described above: we heat the liquid in the bottle slightly in advance. Baked chicken on a bottle is best at 200 degrees for about 1 hour 20 minutes. Cooking time depends on the weight of the chicken carcass.

To get a beautiful and crispy crust on the chicken, bake it for 25 minutes on high heat, then reduce it and bring the dish to readiness.

If you notice that the chicken on the bottle began to burn, use foil and wrap it. It is impossible to pour liquid over the chicken in the pan.

Chicken readiness is checked with a knife. When the juice ceases to stand out from the meat, the dish is ready.

When the chicken on the bottle turns red and is ready, show a little more patience. Let it cool slightly in the oven.

There is another great idea on how to make chicken on a bottle. At the bottom of a pan or baking sheet, you can put potatoes, vegetables, salt and pour them with mayonnaise sauce. Garnish for chicken is almost ready. It will be cooked with chicken and will be no less tasty.
