"Lunar prism, give me strength!" What girl is not familiar with this phrase? The story of the beautiful warriors in sailors protecting the world from dark forces conquered millions of hearts not only in Japan, but also in many other countries. Russia was no exception.
Warriors in sailors
Usagi Tsukino is a teenage girl from an ordinary Japanese family. She does not study well, being late for school is a daily procedure for her. But at the same time, she is very cheerful and positive. One morning, being late for school again, Usagi meets the cat Luna. The cat is not easy, because she can speak. She gives Usagi a magic wand, with the help of which the girl transforms into Sailor Moon - a wonderful warrior in a sailor suit. Initially, Sailor Moon fights the dark forces alone. But over time, four more warriors join her: Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus.
In the first season, warriors must find the lunar princess and the Silver Crystal in order to save the earth from the evil spell of the Queen of Perdition and prevent the absolute evil from awakening to the King of Metalia.
Once upon a time, the Silver Crystal belonged to the Lunar Princess - the ruler of the Silver Millennium. The princess was in love with the prince of Earth Endymion. And this love was mutual. The lunar Kingdom was an obstacle to the dark forces on the way to Earth. And King Metalia decided to destroy the Silver Millennium. The princess and the prince perished. Killed and four soldiers who defended them. And then the Queen of the Moon Serenity used all the power of the Silver Crystal and sent the souls of the dead to Earth to be reborn. The Queen herself died.
Later, soldiers in sailors learned that Sailor Moon is the same princess, and they are the soldiers who must protect her, even at the cost of their own lives. The Silver Crystal woke when Usagi wept over the wounded lover Mamoru.
The Queen of Perdition and King Metalia were defeated by the power of the Silver Crystal.
External warriors
By the third season, the viewer will know that, in addition to the warriors protecting the princess, there are also external sailor warriors Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. They protected the Solar System, Earth and the Silver Millennium from attacks from outside.
The manga also indicates that one of their duties was to prevent the birth of a Saturn warrior. Since this warrior was supposed to bring only destruction.
The emergence of evil forces
Demons reappear on Earth and extract Pure Hearts from people. They are in search of three talismans that form the Holy Grail. But, besides demons, two unknowns also hunt for talismans: Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. Who are they? Friends or enemies? Nobody knows about this, even Uranus and Neptune themselves. Their goal is also to find the Holy Grail and Messiah of Light. And do not allow the Grail to be in the hands of the forces of evil.
It soon turns out that the talismans are in the hearts of Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto. They combine their talismans and the Holy Grail appears, which strengthens the power of Sailor Moon. And everyone thinks she is the Messiah, but that’s not so. After all, the power of the Messiah of Light is unlimited. And Sailor Moon gets tired very quickly after using the power of the Grail.
Michiru Kayo
In real life, Sailor Neptune is Michiru Kayo. She is very talented: masterfully plays the violin, has incredible femininity, and draws wonderfully. The girl is very kind and soft. But before meeting with Haruka, she was very lonely, as she avoided people.
In season three, Michiru is 17 years old. Like Haruka, she is older than the rest of the soldiers in the sailor suit. Some sources indicate that her birthday is March 6th and that she is Pisces by her zodiac sign.
Michiru studies at the Mugen school, and then goes to a regular school where Usagi and her friends study.
As mentioned above, Michiru is a violinist, and she often participates in various concerts, and her paintings appear at exhibitions. In addition, the girl is actively involved in sports and is an excellent swimmer. She can often be seen floating in the pool.
The series indicates that Michiru Kayo became one of the first soldiers in a sailor suit, and for a long time she fought with the dark forces all alone.
Meet Hariki and Michiru
The story of the acquaintance of Haruki Teno and Michiru Kayo is shown in episode 17 of the third season. The episode is called Deadly Link. Haruka dreams of becoming a wind, overcoming gravity and soaring up. She is actively involved in sports and in this she simply has no equal, in many sports she is the first. Although the girl deals with them rather from boredom.
Once, after a running competition, one of Haruki’s rivals introduces the athlete to her friend Michiru Kayo, who is a painter who is a pretty famous artist. One of Michiru’s first phrases addressed to Haruki, “I think you can hear the breath of the wind,” scares Haruka. But at the same time, she feels that a girl with blue hair is a soul mate who understands her without words. The artist offers Haruka to pose for her, but Haruka refuses to do such stupid things.
The next meeting of the girls takes place on the boat during a concert in Michiru. As mentioned earlier, she is a virtuoso violinist. After the concert, Haruka sees a picture of Michiru, which shows the end of the world. Between the girls there is a discussion. Haruka behaves rudely and boldly, saying that the end of the world, past lives and a premonition of the end of the world are all nonsense and nonsense. But Michiru stands his ground and claims that there is nothing more important than saving the world.
Arriving at motocross, Haruka encounters a demon, inside of which is a person asking for help. A rod with the symbol of the planet Uranus appears in front of the girl. Haruka reaches for him, but Michiru stops her, saying that there will be no turning back, and she won’t be able to return to normal life. After this, Michiru turns into Sailor Neptune and attacks the demon. Haruka is perplexed, she says that inside this demon is a man, and he cannot be killed. The demon creeps up behind and attacks the girls. Neptune, by sacrificing himself, saves Haruka. Neptune defeats the demon without killing man.
The girls talk, and Michiru admits to Haruka that she has been watching her for a long time and wants to go with her to the ocean. She had long felt a soul mate in Haruka and was very happy about it. At that moment, Haruka changes her fate, deciding to become a warrior too and help Michir fight demons and fulfill the mission to save humanity.
Sailor neptune
The Sailor Neptune costume is turquoise, and the attacks are related to the forces of water, the ocean. In the middle of the third season, it turns out that one of the three talismans is enclosed in the girl’s Pure Heart crystal - a mirror on which there is a sign of the planet Neptune, and it has the ability to show the truth.
Sailor Neptune is endowed with a sense of foresight, she feels how dark forces are approaching and how evil is approaching, capable of enveloping the whole world and creating Chaos.
The character Sailor Neptune is quite interesting and at the same time controversial. Indeed, on the one hand, the girl is ready to do anything to protect the earth, and on the other, she will not sacrifice anything in order to fulfill her mission.
The relationship of Neptune and Sailor Moon is also controversial. External warriors repeatedly help Sailor Moon, help her out of completely hopeless situations, but nevertheless consider her a windy and unworthy warrior title.
Love or friendship
In Japanese anime, you can come across a concept such as yuri, that is, homosexual relations between women or girls. Many sources attribute the relationship of Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune to the yuri. That is why Uranus in the person of Haruki Teno often appears in men's suits and is engaged in men's sports.
So whether or not it is up to the author to judge, but the fact that Haruka and Michiru are very close emotionally is undeniable.

Sailor Moon Crystal
A couple of years ago, in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the brand, the authors decided to remove the new version of Sailor Moon, which was called Sailor Moon Crystal. The film adaptation is not the sixth season or continuation, nor is it a remake, rather, it is a film adaptation of the manga Naoko Takeuchi.
According to the new adaptation of Sailor Moon, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto and Sailor Uranus are external warriors with mascots. They defended the solar system and were supposed to prevent the appearance of a Saturn warrior.
During the death of the Lunar Kingdom, they were on their planets, far from the Moon. But they wanted to help the moon and combined the three talismans to call Sailor Saturn, the warrior of Chaos and destruction, to help. Saturn appeared and with the Rod of Silence destroyed everything that remained of the kingdom of the Moon and Earth, external warriors also died. But soon they all revived on Earth. Saturn was reborn in a girl named Hotaru Tomo.
During the next battle, when the forces of evil were victorious, the warriors of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were forced to reunite the talismans and call on Saturn for help. She appeared and sacrificed herself to save the Earth, asking the time lady Sailor Pluto to open the Gate of Time. The passage in time was open, and Saturn went to battle with absolute evil. Everyone thought she was dead, but Neptune soon appeared. In her arms she held a baby - it was a reborn Hotaru Tomo.
