This theater was founded recently. The troupe consists of young artists and students of a theater school. The theater’s repertoire includes performances based on plays by contemporary authors.
Foundation History
The Youth Theater on Bulak was founded in 2010. Its creators are E. A. Aladinsky, V. A. Stepantsov, R. M. Fatkulin and a team of talented students of a theater school. They sought to ensure that their theater gave young talents the opportunity to prove themselves, to experiment. They did not have their own building, so they occupied the second floor of the retro club, where you can take no more than 150 spectators. The Bulak Theater was assembled bit by bit, equipped the stage on a voluntary basis, carried furniture, searched for props, made decorations themselves, since the troupe had no support from the state or sponsors.
About the theater
The Youth Theater on Bulak is today one of the most popular. In 2012, the entire building passed into the possession of the troupe. Now the first floor serves to bring to life various creative ideas. This theater is bright, unusual, different from others. Young and talented actors have a chance to become part of the troupe, since directors very often hold auditions. The name of the theater comes from the name of the street on which it is located - Pravo-Bulachnaya, and the inhabitants of the city call it “Bulak”.
Building
The Bulak Theater is an architecture that is inconspicuous in architecture, but of an unusual color, built during the Soviet era. Inside is very cozy and comfortable. The walls are painted black and hung with lots of photographs and paintings. The auditorium has a capacity of 150 seats, a small stage looks like a podium, and a piano stands not far from it. Twilight reigns here. Those who enter the theater for the first time, having entered the hall, begin to doubt if they have not got into a night club. But doubts quickly disappear as soon as the performance begins.
The first row of the auditorium consists of soft leather sofas designed for two persons - an ideal option for a meeting with an intelligent girl who is interested in art. Nowadays, tickets to the performances of all theaters can be purchased by booking them over the phone or via the Internet. The Bulak Theater is no exception. The layout of the hall, which will help to make a choice of places, is presented in this article.

The performance of Golden Boys
The performance “Golden Boys” Theater on the Bulak offers viewers over 18 years old. This is a story about six friends who were once colleagues and worked at a metallurgical plant, which closed. As a result, they lost their jobs, and they have families that need to be provided.
Heroes are busy looking for a new job, but all in vain. Already almost lost all hope that there is a business for them to their liking, which will suit them in every way. Friends have the idea to start earning money in an adult bar where ladies pay a lot of money to watch striptease performed by muscular men. The guys think that it’s where you can get “easy money”. They create a strip group and plan to drive women in nightclubs crazy with their performances.
"Ugly Ducklings" go on stage and in front of the public turn into superheroes. Friends undertake this business, but they cannot even imagine that they will be waiting on the way to the realization of their goal.
The play "Choi"
One of the performances that the Theater on the Bulak recently presented to its viewers is Tsoi. This is a musical and plastic drama about the life of a legendary musician using his songs. The main role is played by an actor who looks very similar to his character and, moreover, is similar to him in his mental organization.
A story about such a person as Viktor Tsoi is not an easy task, therefore, in addition to music, plastic and the dramatic talent of the artist, the performance uses various metaphors. For example, the black pouf in the hands of the heroes symbolizes his fate, and the hanging window, to which V. Tsoi approaches very often throughout the performance, indicates a breath of fresh air.
This is a one-man show, that is, one actor takes part in it, and all the attention of the viewer is riveted to him. The artist every time for one hour lives the whole life of V. Tsoi, so that he continues to live in the hearts of people. The performance begins with the hero performing the song “A Star named the Sun”, and then draws a large bright luminary. After some time, V. Tsoi meets with the guitar, which will remain with him for life. In the finale of the play, a song will be heard that has become the last in the life of the legendary musician - “Our hearts demand change.”
Reviews
Spectators of all ages are very fond of attending the Bulak Theater. The reviews that they leave about his productions, about the artists and the building itself, make it possible to verify this. Viewers claim that after they visited this theater, their ideas about this type of art have changed radically, since the directing of the performances is original and modern.

The atmosphere that reigns inside impresses the audience very much - no pathos, chic, excessive pomp, all in a friendly, sincere manner, thanks to which the audience feels really welcome and long-awaited guests. The interior of the theater pleases the eye with a large number of man-made design elements that create the feeling that you find yourself in a creative workshop. The way the seats are located in the auditorium is also surprising: on the sides 2 tiers are composed of soft sofas. But nevertheless, those who have already visited the theater more than once and sat on different rows recommend buying tickets for the stalls, because on the sofas, although soft, they can interfere with the viewing of the columns, because of which you have to crank your neck and bend all the time to see the whole action.
The audience is also pleased that before the start of the performance, the artistic director enters the stage to greet the audience and communicate with her. He talks a little about the theater and even notes which of the audience has not come for the first time, but who is here for the first time. Another interesting fact that theater visitors note is that artists often go out into the hall and interact with the audience. Minimalism in the scenery is also noted as a big plus, as more attention is given to the artistry of the actors.
How to get there
The building is quite noticeable in the color scheme of painting the external walls, and it is not difficult to find it, since it has thematic drawings and a sign crowned by a forged lamp. That is exactly what the Bulak Theater looks like. His address: Kazan city, Pravo-Bulachnaya street, house number 13. The theater troupe is always looking forward to visiting its grateful spectators, who can appreciate the talented play of novice artists.
