Theater History
The Moscow Regional Puppet Theater has existed since 1933. Its creator is Victor Schwemberger - an excellent actor, playwright, director and great enthusiast. The very first performance of the troupe was “The Inspector” according to N.V. Gogol. The dolls that took part in this production are now stored in the museum at the Sergei Obraztsov Theater.
In 1941-1945, the actors performed in front of the defenders of the motherland. The Moscow Regional Puppet Theater played 275 performances at the forefront. Wonderful directors collaborated with the troupe.
The plays for the theater were written by such remarkable playwrights: G. Oster, P. Kataev, E. Uspensky, T. Tolstaya, Y. Koval and others. The music for the performances is composed by composers: G. Gladkov, L. Kazakova, V. Makhlyankin and others.
The Moscow Children's Regional Puppet Theater spends all its life on wheels. The troupe has traveled almost all of Russia and very often happens abroad. Theater performances have great success with the audience, constantly win festivals and competitions.
For more than thirty years, Leonid Maximovich Migachev was the director and artistic director. He is a creative, proactive person. Many theatrical projects that are designed to support the culture in cities and villages, created thanks to him. Leonid Maskimovich held the post of leader until his death. He died in the summer of 2013. For the theater, the death of this remarkable man was an irreparable loss.

The performances are so interesting that they are not boring to watch even for adults. The hall is small, thanks to which the audience is very close to the artists, which creates a feeling of involvement in the action. Children are delighted with the performances of this theater. All productions with humor. Here, authors of children's books sell their works and are happy to leave autographs. Actors play roles, putting their whole soul into them. Very friendly staff seated viewers in places. In the courtyard of the theater there is now a very convenient playground where you can play. Very beautiful dolls with expressive faces play in the theater. During the holidays, artists show several performances per day. It’s good that the performances are now taking place not only on weekends, as before, but also on weekdays, which allows you to visit the theater on any convenient day of the week.
