Seafood is always of great interest. If we talk about fish, then its combination with vegetables is always only good. Take, for example, the option when preparing a mackerel with potatoes in the oven. There are dozens of different ways you can do this.
Tasty and fast
The first option relates to the category of recipes on the basis of "whip up". There are situations when there is absolutely no time to invent something elegant, but I want everything to be tasty and at the same time fast. In this case, the mackerel with potatoes in the oven is just baked at the same time.
This will require a little:
2 carcasses of mackerel, kilogram of potatoes, onion, 150 grams of mayonnaise, a little salt and 2-3 grams of ground pepper.
Mackerel with potatoes in the oven is not at all difficult:
- First you need to cut the fish itself. To do this, it must be washed, freed from the insides, and then separate the fillet from the bones. After that, it remains only to cut it into pieces of arbitrary size.
- Peel the onion and cut into half rings.
- Peeled potatoes will also need to be cut. It can be rings or sticks. Who likes what.
- After that, the fish will need to be marinated. To do this, put it in a bowl, salt, sprinkle with onion and pepper, and then leave for 20 minutes.
- Now the products must be folded into a form coated with vegetable oil, pour over with mayonnaise and mix.
- Put in the oven at 180 degrees.
Mackerel with potatoes in the oven is cooked quickly. Already after 45 minutes it can be removed and served. If desired, 5 minutes before the end of the dish, you can sprinkle with grated hard cheese. This will only decorate it and give it a special flavor.
Foil roasting
For baking products, the hostesses use different devices. One of the most popular is foil. With its help, you can get a wonderful baked mackerel with potatoes.
Of the products required:
1 mackerel, 5 potatoes, 100 grams of hard cheese, half a teaspoon of caraway seeds and oregano, a little salt, 70 grams of mini-carrots, 150 milliliters of mayonnaise and a couple of teaspoons of fish spices.
The cooking process begins with vegetables:
- Potatoes need to be peeled and then cut into curly pieces. To do this, it is better to use a special knife. If it is not, then pieces can be taken and ordinary.
- Fry the potatoes with carrots in a pan for 3-5 minutes, adding 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. The flame should be maximum.
- Grind cheese with a grater.
- Clean the fish from the insides and cut off the fins.
- Spread a piece of foil on the table and put the prepared vegetables on it.
- Lay the fish on top. Sprinkle it with salt and spices.
- Lubricate all with mayonnaise.
- Add grated cheese and put a little inside the fish.
- Cover the resulting structure with a second sheet of foil, place on a baking sheet and put in the oven for 25 minutes. The temperature inside should be at least 200 degrees.
- After the set time, remove the top sheet, and leave the dish in the oven for another 25 minutes.
After the vegetables are browned, it can be considered that the baked mackerel with potatoes is completely ready.
Gefilte fish
Cooking the product along with the side dish significantly reduces the time that the hostess spends on cooking. For this reason, you can offer another recipe for mackerel with potatoes.
To work in this case, the following ingredients are required:
800 grams of fish (about 2 pieces), 5 grams of salt, 35 grams of vegetable oil (can be replaced with two tablespoons of mayonnaise), 2 pinches of black pepper, 20 grams of carrots, onions and potatoes.
Cooking sequence:
- The fish should be cleaned, and then remove the head (or at least cut the gills).
- Cut the vegetables in any convenient way (straws, slices or bars).
- Grate the carcass with salt, grease with oil (or mayonnaise) and sprinkle with pepper.
- Place prepared mackerel on a sheet of foil.
- Stuff it with vegetables, and put the leftovers around.
- Fold the foil and place the product on a baking sheet.
- Send it to the oven, which must first be heated to 210 degrees.
After 30 minutes, the dish will be completely ready.
Fish casserole
Those who do not know how to cook potatoes with mackerel, or who are just tired of already familiar recipes, can be advised to make a casserole. The dish is relatively simple, but unusual and very tasty.
To prepare it, you will need to buy or prepare in advance:
for 1 kilogram of mackerel fillet, 2 kilograms of potato, 2 fresh tomatoes, 200 grams of cheese, 30 grams of salt, half a teaspoon of fish seasoning, a little black pepper and 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
Now you can start cooking:
- Wash the fillet, dry, and then cut into pieces 2 x 3 or 3 x 4 centimeters.
- Fold the product in a clean plate. Add salt, spices and leave for 20 minutes.
- Peel and cut the potatoes into thin slices.
- Chop the tomatoes by chopping in half slices.
- Now lay the products in layers on a pallet in the following order: potatoes - fish - tomatoes - potatoes.
- Lubricate everything with mayonnaise, and top with grated cheese.
- Place the pan in the oven for 45 minutes.
As soon as time runs out, you can, without a shadow of doubt, take out the finished dish, cut it into pieces and serve.
