Childhood
The Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk is the place where the biography of L'One originates from. The nationality of the artist is Georgian, and his real name is Levan Gorozia. He was born in one of the cityâs maternity hospitals on the Yenisei on the ninth of October, eighty-fifth, in an international family: the artistâs mother is Russian, the father is Georgian. They met while still a student - they studied together at the institute. After Levan, another son appeared in the family - Merabi, the youngest by five years.
In the biography of L'One, parents have a special place. Throughout Levan's life, they (especially his father) are for him unquestioned authority and best friends. They raised their son in severity (although mother, of course, was always more condescending to the boy). From an early age, the future performer was instilled with ancient Georgian traditions - not only his father tried, but also his grandfather and grandmother, to whom the boy went to the distant city of Sukhumi every summer.
In Krasnoyarsk, Levan lived up to four years. It was at this age that his parents, then the only child in the family, were taken to even farther and colder Yakutsk, having moved there for permanent residence.

Music entered the biography of L'One when the future rapper was about thirteen years old. It was the end of the nineties, then in Russia began a craze for hip-hop industry. In less than twenty years, Levan worked on the radio, where he conducted two programs, conducted a program on local television, performed in KVN and wrote scripts for various corporate parties. He was a rather famous person in small Yakutia, but he always wanted more. In addition, he did not give up music classes - he wrote material for his first record. She was released in 2005, and the young man even organized her presentation - there were enough connections for this. However, he understood that in Yakutsk there were few opportunities for creativity, there was too much to achieve there, and ambitions were great. That is why, telling parents that he wants to go to journalism, Levan left everything and went to conquer Moscow.
Moscow: the beginning
Levan went to the capital together with his friend Igor, who is now known as a performer under the pseudonym Nel. For the sake of journalism, in fairness, L'One really entered (however, he also studied there for only two years, so he does not have a completed higher education). And he and Igor rented an apartment and began to try to survive in a huge metropolis. In order to have something to write music (as well as eat), Levan got a job on Next radio station, while working part-time at a creative agency. Later he said that he brought his texts to the radio - but they were put aside. And then, perhaps, considering that the group would be perceived better than an individual artist, Levan and Igor decided to create a duet. They called it Marselle - by analogy with the city of the same name in France, famous for its rap artists.
Marselle
Friends clearly defined the responsibilities among themselves: Levan was responsible for the lyrics, Igor for music. However, their naive hopes that the young group would be instantly noticed were soon dispelled in the most cruel way. For a whole year they worked âfor themselvesâ, songs went âto the tableâ. Gradually, little by little, they acquired the necessary acquaintances and connections.
The guys got their first fame thanks to the song âMoscowâ, which had been staying at the top of the charts for more than thirty weeks. But the real popularity for beginner artists came after participating in the show âBattle for Respectâ on the Muz-TV channel. Then they began to recognize in person. In the same year, friends released their first album called Mars, which was attended by many famous artists - such as, for example, Vasily Vakulenko (Basta).
Together, Levan and Igor worked for seven years. In January, two thousand and twelve of the friends' tracks parted. Everyone began to speak independently. And in the biography of L'One appeared Timati and his Black Star.
Black star
Levan signed a cooperation agreement with Timur Yunusovâs company (Timati) in May of the same year, despite the fact that, frankly, he was initially quite skeptical of Timati and his work. Timati explained the decision to cooperate with L'One by the fact that he saw potential in the young artist and became interested in what he was doing. One way or another, the proposal to work together seemed appropriate to both parties, and the contract was concluded.
The ability to work in a team with Levan developed in his youth through basketball. Therefore, working for Black Star is not difficult for him - on the contrary, he believes that success alone is much more difficult to achieve than when there are people nearby who can rely on. Thanks to Black Star, a track appeared in the biography of L'One, which brought him great fame and became the most popular hit of all discos - âEveryone Elbowsâ.
In addition, co-creation is also practiced in the company - for example, Levan was one of the co-authors of the equally famous song âCome on, goodbyeâ, collaborated with Dzhigan, Mot, Christina C and Timati himself, of course.
It was at the studio of Timati that Levan's first solo album was released - a year later. It was called "Sputnik" and included fourteen compositions, six of which belong to other artists of the label. After the release of the record, L'One went on tour around the country with fresh songs. He recorded the second disc (Lonely Universe) two years later.
Present time
Last year, L'One pleased the fans with a new album called âGravityâ, which many critics and colleagues of the rapper rated rather highly and called the best of all that the singer released. In addition, last year was marked for Levan with a duet work with the granddaughter of the famous bard Yuri Vizbor (Varvara) - together they recorded the song âYakutyanochkaâ.
This year, Levan has already released four clips, visited the set of several television programs, continued his active touring activities.
