How to roast chestnuts?

Currently, culinary art has reached a very high level, this makes it possible to cook not just edible, but rather delicious dishes from the most ordinary and unusual products. For example, from chestnuts - the product is rather unusual and is rarely used as the basis for creating any dishes. Often a person, walking around the city, steps over them or steps on without thinking that these fruits can taste great. But there are those who know how to roast chestnuts and can prepare from them an original independent dish or side dish.

Before describing cooking methods and telling how to roast chestnuts, you should pay special attention to the fact that you can only collect fruits on the street in the Caucasus (and even that is not all). In this area, it is not the decorative appearance of the plant that grows, but the so-called "noble" that can be fried and eaten. First you need to cut them a little, then put them in a special container, fill them with salted water, so that one third of them are closed, and put to prepare. Chestnuts can also be roasted in the oven. For this purpose, they are also notched; you can make an incision a little deeper to insure against an "explosion." After this, the fruits must be laid out on a baking sheet, upward cuts. Before starting to fry, the oven must be heated to the maximum, the cooking time at this temperature takes about 30 minutes. It is important not to miss the moment when the contents of the chestnuts leak out, after which they must be kept in the oven for another seven minutes and can be pulled out.

You should know that with heat, with heat, chestnuts are much tastier, and the longer they are postponed, the more their taste will dim. Therefore, this product is not recommended for future use.
