Suppositories "Dalacin" are an antibiotic that is part of the pharmacological group of lincosamides and has a characteristic bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect. At the same time, this drug is most active against such
anaerobic bacteria as streptococci, staphylococci, bacteroids, preotella, peptococcus, pathogens of acne, clostridia and peptostreptococcus. For the treatment of infections provoked by leptospira, chlamydia, actinomycosis, mycoplasmas and toxoplasmosis, the use of the antimicrobial drug Dalacin is also effective. Candles, the price of which is, on average, about 600-700 rubles, are also highly active against
anthrax and diphtheria pathogens. As for the pharmacokinetics of this antibiotic, with intravaginal administration, the absorption of its active component, as a rule, does not exceed 5-7%.
The highest concentration in the blood is achieved twelve to fourteen hours after the direct use of the Dalacin agent. Candles, analogues of which have a similar mechanism of action, can be purchased today in almost every pharmacy.
This drug is available in the form of solid white torpedo-shaped suppositories. As a main component, Dalacin antimicrobial suppositories contain about 0.1 gram of clindamycin. In addition, they contain solid fat, which is a mixture of diglycerides, monoglycerides and triglycerides.
The scope of this antibiotic mainly includes bacterial vaginitis of varying degrees, caused by exposure to pathogenic microorganisms susceptible to clindamycin. Moreover, this drug is strictly contraindicated for individuals with individual intolerance to clindamycin and lincomycin. Also, doctors do not recommend the use of Dalacin suppositories during the period of gestation and lactation.
Separately, it should be said about the possible side effects provoked by the use of this antimicrobial agent. For example, in some cases, reactions such as pain in the vagina, bleeding, irritation of the mucosa of the vulva and vagina, irregular menstruation can be observed. In addition, suppositories "Dalacin" can trigger the development of vaginal candidiasis,
trichomonas vaginitis, endometriosis, vulvovaginitis and various vaginal infections. Some patient groups complain of cramping, abdominal pain, an unpleasant odor from the oral cavity, dyspepsia, flatulence, bloating, a perversion of taste, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, or constipation. In addition, a variety of dermatological reactions are included in the list of side effects. For example, urticaria, skin candidiasis, rash, erythema, and pruritus may be observed. It is also possible the development of dysuria, urinary tract infections, proteinuria, glucosuria and hyperthyroidism. Infectious and fungal diseases, dizziness and headache are also noted in individual patients using Dalacin suppositories.
