Short story
In the movie "Military Intelligence: The Western Front," actors play people who lived in the late 30s of the 20th century. Then, schools of scouts opened one after another throughout the Soviet Union.
So near Leningrad, not far from the Finnish border, a new classified object appears. Within its walls are preparing future scouts. Here, for the first time, a mini-detachment of Pavlovsky was formed, which subsequently will become the center of the whole narration.
The first task received by Klim Pavlovsky and his subordinates, Mikhas Sushkevich and Alexei Teneshev, is to proceed to Finnish territory. They must dissolve in the crowd, impersonate those here, and in practice test their knowledge of the local language. However, the task does not go smoothly. After a while, the “winter” (Belofin) war begins. And Pavlovsky’s group constantly visits the enemy’s territory with secret missions. The final and most difficult battle takes place on the shores of Lake Ladoga, where, as it turns out, the unauthorized German intelligence school is located.
