Beef jellied: two ways to cook

Jellied beef is a wonderful dish for the holiday. To prepare it, you can use various methods. We suggest you familiarize yourself with some of them.

What do you need:

  • beef pulp - about 1 kg;
  • a pack (25 grams) of gelatin;
  • boiled chicken egg - 1 piece;
  • medium-sized carrots;
  • greens, olives;
  • pepper, salt, bay leaf.

Technology

To cook the beef jellied, gelatin should be soaked at the very beginning. Pour it with a glass of cold water and leave for an hour. During this time we will prepare meat and vegetables. Wash and peel the carrots. Rinse the meat and fill it with cold water (about 2.5 liters), add carrots to it, put a bay leaf, salt and put to cook for 2 hours. Remove the carrots immediately after being ready. Once the meat is cooked, remove it from the broth and set to cool. Strain the liquid. Immediately add gelatin to it. Put it on the fire again, bring to a boil and immediately turn it off. You do not need to boil. Cut boiled carrots and eggs in neat circles. Cut the meat into even portions across the fibers. Put meat, greens, olives, egg in the jellied dish. Lay out the ingredients beautifully. Pour in the broth and place it in the refrigerator.

Beef jellies can be decorated in many ways. For example, make roses from vegetables or lay out green peas and slices of lemon. Show your imagination, and your dish will look spectacular and appetizing on the festive table.

This dish will require:

  • a piece of beef (or veal) weighing about 500 grams;
  • vegetable oil;
  • parsley and celery root (30 grams each);
  • boiled chicken eggs (2 pieces);
  • salt.

for jelly:

  • beef seeds (1 kg);
  • onions (1 head);
  • carrots - (1 pc.);
  • packs (40 grams) of gelatin;
  • bay leaf and cloves;
  • allspice peas and salt.

Cooking technology

1 step

Cut the meat into large pieces, slightly salt. Fry them with some of the roots in vegetable oil or fat.

2 step

Place the pan (if suitable for the oven) in an electric oven and bring the beef to readiness. Or use a heat resistant form. Put meat in it, pour fat and put in the oven.

3 step

While the meat is baking, prepare jelly. Cook a strong bone broth . When cooking, put in it carrots, a whole onion, the remaining roots. Remove the foam and do not close the lid.

4 step

Pour gelatin with water, leave to swell. Follow the instructions. Once the broth is ready, pour the cooked mixture into it. Stir, put the parsley, seasonings, cloves, salt and bring to a boil.

5 step

Strain the broth and set to cool.

6 step

The meat is baked. We take it out of the oven and cut into neat pieces of equal size. Arrange them in molds or serving plates. Around lay slices of boiled carrots, eggs, parsley leaves. Pour the jelly.

7 step

Put the meat in the refrigerator. After a few hours, the beef will be ready. Serve to the table, decorating the dish to your liking.
