It would seem that baked chicken is one of the simplest dishes, and the main thing in its preparation is not to miss the right moment so that the delicious golden crust does not turn into charred. But why, then, in one case, the chicken meat baked in the oven turns out to be soft and aromatic, and in the other case too dry and tasteless. Experienced housewives are well aware that the success of baked meat largely depends on the preparation of the carcass and the spices used. The cooking method also plays a role. Chicken baked in foil or under a lid will be juicier than a carcass that is simply placed on a baking sheet.

Cooking baked chicken is a rather long process. Sometimes, in order to reduce time, the meat is pre-fried and only after that is placed in the oven.

Baked chicken with pineapple and curry sauce.

In the above recipe, chicken breast is used to prepare the dish, but if desired, it can be replaced with chicken legs. 4 servings will require approximately 600 g of breast (with skin), carrots - 2 medium-sized root vegetables, onions and kohlrabi one each, leeks - one stalk, a glass of cream, canned pineapple - 150 g, olive or sunflower oil - 2 l . Art., several cloves of garlic (can be replaced with dry powder), curry powder - 1 tsp, finely chopped greens, black pepper, sugar and salt to taste.

Preheat the oven and fry the chicken in a pan. Lightly add meat, rub with garlic and place in the oven for 20 minutes.
We prepare the chicken sauce as follows:
Finely chop the vegetables, add spices, one pinch of salt and sugar and fry in oil. Then carefully pour the cream and boil the sauce with a boil for 8 minutes, then add the pineapple and cook for another 3 minutes. Sprinkle a mixture of herbs, add pepper. Chicken meat is cut into pieces, served with a side dish of boiled rice, thickly pouring sauce.

Baked Chicken with Vegetables in White Wine

You will need a chicken carcass weighing up to 1.5 kg, 2 onions, 1 kg of potato tubers, dry wine - 100 ml, oil - 25 grams. As seasoning, take dried oregano - 2 full tablespoons, garlic (large head) and ground black pepper, to taste. For baking, a deep form and food foil will also be required.

Rub the garlic into a homogeneous gruel with a small amount of salt, oregano and pepper. Rub the chicken carcass with butter, make small cuts under the skin and rub the mixture of spices into them. The remaining mixture rub the chicken.
We spread the form with foil crosswise. Shred the onion, place it on the bottom of the mold and level it. We put chicken carcass on it, pour in the wine, close the foil and place the form in the oven for 40 minutes. We clean the vegetables, chop, sprinkle with grated garlic and salt, add a little oil. We lay to the chicken and bake until the potatoes are ready. To get a crispy crust, expand the foil and leave the chicken and potatoes in the oven for another fifteen minutes. This will be enough for the meat and vegetables to brown.
In our recipe, baked chicken is cooked with potatoes, but it can easily be replaced with other vegetables. Try baking pumpkin, turnip, kohlrabi or broccoli, for example.

Baked chicken with a golden crust

Often for baking chicken in the oven , bake bags are used. This dish is unpretentious and does not require special culinary skills from the hostess. There are several ways to bake chicken in a bag. We suggest you try the following recipe. Before baking, we make shallow subcutaneous incisions on the chicken carcass, rub with a mixture of spices, salt and sour cream (mayonnaise) and leave for an hour and a half so that the meat is soaked properly. After that, we put the halves of the onion inside the carcass, put it in a bag and tie it. We make several punctures so that the bag in the oven does not burst. Preheat the stove to 180 degrees and bake the chicken to a golden brown crust.

If desired, baked chicken can be cooked with a side dish. For this purpose, we place vegetables or washed rice in a bag along with a carcass.

There are many tricks that can improve the taste of baked meat and poultry. If you want the dish to be more juicy, put a container of water in the oven. This technique can also be used in baking, so that the product does not burn and bake evenly.
