The multimillion-dollar army of fans of the popular Supernatural series does not have to be surprised at the inventiveness of the projectâs writers, who every season manage to present to the public a variety of creatures that penetrate our world and carry a certain mission. Among their diversity, there is a mythical creation in the form of a dog, which the characters of the project call hellish dogs. In the "Supernatural," they were created by God, but turned out to be too cruel. The Almighty was about to correct his mistake and destroy the entire population. He practically managed to realize his plan, but one creature saved Lucifer. The hell hound Ramsey was pregnant, she remained loyal to Lucifer, and her descendants inhabited the Underworld, following the instructions of the demons.

Hell dogs in Supernatural are mythical creatures in the form of a dog. Most often, they are credited with gigantic sizes, eyes sparkling or glowing with red fire, tremendous strength and impressive speed. The entity has a phantom or ghostly shape, surrounded by a halo of bad smell. The scope of their duties includes guarding the world of the dead, executing orders directly related to it, that is, hunting for lost souls or protecting supernatural artifacts.
They are seen only by those unfortunate people whom they are hunting for, or people who have put on glasses, previously tempered in the sacred flame of church oil. Like Dean and Sam when they were testing to close the gates of hell (episode "Trial and Error"). Most often, animals take the souls of those unfortunates who, having made a deal with the demon, sold their souls. If you recall Crowleyâs monologue in The Supernatural, hell dogs are best known to him (season 5, episode 20), his pet is quite large and his name is Juliet.
Monsters of unknown breed

Hellhounds from the Supernatural are not omnipotent and relatively vulnerable. The next meeting of the audience with the infernal dogs took place only in the third season in episode 15, called "Time is on my side."
During the investigation of the case of the surgeon Benton, who killed people in order to change worn parts of the body and live forever, the brothers receive information about the whereabouts of the fraudster and swindler Bela Talbot, who stole the treasured Colt from the hunters. Dean, intending to eliminate Bela, finds out her secret and notices a diabolical string in the door jamb, the very plant that is able to restrain the onslaught of hell dogs for a certain time. He leaves, the clock strikes midnight, and Bela hears the approaching dog howl.
Literally in the next episode, âThe Devil on the Horns,â mythical creatures come for Dean to drag him to the underworld. The brothers are trying hard to destroy Lilith, who owns Dean's contract, but all their efforts are fruitless. Leaving the childâs body, the demon moves into Ruby, neutralizes Sam, throws Dean onto the table and lets the hounds into the room. Dean dies in terrible agony.
