Pies with viburnum always turn out delicious and very fragrant. It is worth noting that for the preparation of such flour products you can use completely different bases. Today we will look at a way to create a dessert from yeast dough.
How to make delicious pies with viburnum
Essential ingredients for the base:
- country milk fat - 700 ml;
- melted butter - 230 g;
- granular yeast - 1 incomplete dessert spoon;
- granulated sugar - 3 large spoons;
- small table salt - a pinch;
- medium-sized chicken egg - 2 pcs.;
- sifted wheat flour - from 1.7 kg (optional).
Kneading dough
Pies with viburnum are obtained lush and soft only using a yeast base. To knead it, you need to warm the village milk to a fresh state, and then dissolve the sugar in it and pour in dry yeast. After the last component swells, it is necessary to break the eggs into the milk drink, add salt and melted butter, as well as sifted wheat flour. Further, the soft, but well-sticking dough should be left aside for 1.5 hours for further rise.
Also, viburnum pie provides for the use of the following components for the filling:
- granulated sugar - 2 cups;
- fresh or frozen viburnum - 500 g;
- flower honey - 3 large spoons.
The filling for the pie from viburnum is well obtained from fresh or frozen berries, and from a steamed product. We decided to use the first option for making such a dessert. Thus, the frozen berry should be thawed at room temperature, and then sugar, flower honey should be added to it and mix well. It is worth noting that whipping the ingredients with a pusher or a blender is not recommended, since in this case the filling will turn out to be too liquid and it can easily go beyond the limits of the test. If you are confused by the sour taste of this product, then it should be boiled a little over low heat.
Dessert making
Viburnum cakes are formed in exactly the same way as other similar products with other fillings. To do this, take a piece of yeast dough, roll it into a layer and place it in a greased baking dish. Next, on the surface of the base, it is necessary to apply a sweet layer of filling, cover it with a second sheet, and beautifully braid the edges into a pigtail. On top of such a product, it is recommended to cover with a beaten egg. By analogy, you should make small pies from all the remaining ingredients.
Heat treatment
Dessert with viburnum filling is cooked in the oven for about 50 minutes. This time is enough for the yeast dough to become lush, ruddy and completely baked.
How to serve to the table
Delicious pies with viburnum should preferably be presented to the table in a cold or warm state. Such a dish is good to do in the winter, as everyone knows that the red berry presented contains a lot of vitamins and nutrients. Serving it is recommended along with hot tea and milk.
