At the dawn of perestroika, director Herald Bezhanov made a film that immediately after the premiere fell in love with millions of viewers. The film is very popular today. The film is called âThe Most Charming and Attractiveâ (1985). The actors who played the main roles, as well as the creators of this touching comedy, will be discussed in today's article.
Herald Bezhanov
According to the directorâs recollections, he wanted to shoot a film with a good story, cute characters and a happy ending. The main condition was: the presence of a situation recognizable and understandable to the audience. This ingenuous recipe was once created in Hollywood. The Soviet director has always used it. Herald Bezhanov is the creator of such films as âWhere is the Nofelet?â, âEntrance through the Windowâ, âUrgent Callâ. But his most famous work is the comedy The Most Charming and Attractive.
Actors and roles
An interesting plot and well-written dialogues are not the formula for success for the future film. Bezhanovâs picture scattered into quotes. Actors in the film âThe Most Charming and Attractiveâ (1985) played vivid, memorable characters. The replicas they uttered became aphorisms. But according to the director, without Irina Muravyova, the film âThe Most Charming and Attractiveâ (1985) would not have become so popular. Bezhanov selected actors very carefully.
So, Nadia Klyuyeva, a modest employee of the Research Institute, was played by Irina Muravyova. The role of her friend Susanna, an extravagant woman, whom the hero Kuravlyova called "a two-meter crocodile with a smile of Mona Lisa", was performed by Tatyana Vasilyeva.
The potential groom Nadi was played by Alexander Abdulov. Other employees of the research institute, which is shown in the film âThe Most Charming Attractiveâ (1985), are actors Mikhail Kokshenov, Leonid Kuravlev, Larisa Udovichenko, Lyudmila Ivanova, Vladimir Nosik, Lev Perfilov. The role of the mother of the main character was performed by Lyubov Sokolova. Alexander Shirvindt appeared in the image of a phlegmatic musician, Susanna's husband.
In the comedy, there are quite interesting secondary characters. So, the farceman, who uttered a phrase that offended all the inhabitants of the Urals, was played by Igor Yasulovich. The director himself played the episodic role in the film. He appeared on the screen in the form of a passerby who asked the main character what time it is. Other actors in the film âThe Most Charming and Attractiveâ are Veronika Izotova, Viktor Ilyichev, Victor Filippov, Georgy Martirosyan, Guram Abesadze, Lyudmila Karaush, Anatoly Eiramjan.
From the history of creation
The entire film was shot in the pavilions of Mosfilm. Moreover, the entrance to the research institute was real - a special partition was made at the factory.
The scene in which Mikhail Kokshenov drinks sparkling water from the apparatus has become a real torment for the actor. In the film âThe Most Charming and Attractiveâ (1985), as already mentioned, one of the heroes was played by Alexander Shirvindt. After the words of Misha Dyatlov âwater is only for employeesâ, he, along with Kuravlev, began to make fun of Kokshenov. He could not stand it, he began to laugh. The scene had to be re-shot. The actor drank about eight glasses of sparkling water.
