pharmachologic effect

The tool is a combination drug that contains a complex of a large number of vitamins and several minerals (in picovit tablets). The pharmacological actions of this complex complex are completely determined by the properties of its constituent components.

Pharmacokinetics

Since pikovit for children is a combined drug, there is no possibility of kinetic studies. The totality of the components of this tool cannot be tracked using bioassays or markers.

Indications

Vitamins "Pikovit" for children can be used in the following cases:

  • Common vitamin deficiency
  • Overwork in children
  • Lack of appetite
  • Decreased appetite
  • Associated with antibiotics
  • To correct an unbalanced diet

It must be understood that exceeding the recommended maximum dose of the drug can cause any side effects in the child, so you should strictly adhere to the treatment plan chosen by the doctor.

Side effects

Pikovit for children does not have any specific side effects. It should be said that when doses are exceeded, diarrhea can begin. In addition, there may be a risk of allergic reactions of the child to the components of the complex.

  • Hypervitaminosis A
  • Diabetes
  • Hypervitaminosis D
  • Under 4 years old
  • Severe renal failure
  • Individual intolerance to any components of the drug

Overdose

When using the drug for more than a month in large enough doses, there is a risk of hypervitaminosis A and D. In addition, with prolonged use of vit B6 in doses exceeding the recommended ones, there is a risk of peripheral neuropathy.

Such components of the complex as maltitol and mannitol in the tablets of the drug can lead to flatulence and diarrhea, if they are used in sufficiently large doses.

If any of the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to immediately stop using the complex and consult a doctor. The doctor should prescribe an adequate and individual treatment that will fully respond to the symptoms that have arisen after using this medication. Self-treatment in this situation is not recommended, as in other cases.

Drug interaction

Drug interactions of the complex with other drugs, including non-vitamin nature, have not been studied. But, both negative and positive interactions of the individual components of the complex with other drugs are possible, which need to be clarified in the annotation to the last resort.
