The drug "Noshpalgin", the composition of which includes paracetamol, drotaverine and codeine, refers to painkillers with anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity.
The medicine exhibits a moderate antitussive effect. Paracetamol has an antipyretic, analgesic effect. Drotaverin, being a derivative of isoquinoline, has an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal, vascular, urogenital and biliary systems. Codeine has an antitussive effect by acting through receptors involved in the transmission of pain impulses to the central nervous system.

Contraindications
The medication “Noshpalgin” is not prescribed (the instructions for use warn about this) in case of insufficiency of the cardiac, hepatic and renal systems of a severe type, atrioventricular blockade of 2-3 st, hypersensitivity to the components. Contraindications include drug addiction and alcoholism, bronchial asthma, conditions after head injuries, high intracranial pressure. Not recommended for blood pathologies (agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia or leukopenia), respiratory failure, during pregnancy. The drug is administered orally. To eliminate headaches, 1-2 tablets are recommended. In some cases, the medicine is drunk again after eight hours. Duration of use - no longer than three days.
