It usually takes a lot of time to prepare delicious food, but what if a busy work schedule during the week does not allow you to pay enough attention to the nutrition of households? In such cases, one of the “saving” dishes may be chicken in mayonnaise in the oven. This treat is quite satisfying and very tasty, and it will take very little time to cook it - just send the meat to the oven. Many housewives have their own favorite recipe, which never fails.

Chicken in mayonnaise

This is perhaps one of the easiest options for dinner, lunch and any other meal. For cooking, you can take absolutely any part of the chicken - it can be shanks, breasts, thighs, or all together. Another undoubted plus of the chicken recipe with mayonnaise in the oven is excellent compatibility with any side dish.

What is required:

  • pieces of chicken - the dish is supposed to be portioned, which means that it will take as many hips or breasts as there will be people at the table;
  • mayonnaise - a few tablespoons;
  • onions - 1 or two medium-sized heads;
  • spices - seasoning for chicken, paprika, granulated garlic ;
  • vegetable oil;
  • broth or water - 1-2 glasses.

You need to prepare the meat in advance - a few hours before the expected dinner. If you plan to bake chicken with mayonnaise in the oven for dinner, you can marinate it in the morning before work.

  • medium-sized chicken carcass weighing about 2 kg;
  • 3-4 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 1-2 tablespoons of mustard (thanks to this product the meat will turn out to be aromatic and spicy in taste);
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce;
  • some vegetable oil to lubricate the mold or baking sheet;
  • 1 teaspoon of chicken seasoning (you can also take a universal one);
  • potatoes - required if you want to get a hot dish with a side dish.

They wash the chicken, let the water drain, cut the carcass in the middle of the breast. From mustard, mayonnaise, seasonings and soy sauce make marinade (mix all the ingredients). This marinade grease the chicken from all sides. In order for the meat to be marinated, the carcass is covered with a film and put in the refrigerator for several hours. After that, the carcass is laid in expanded form on a baking sheet or in a mold. You need to lay it back up. If desired, peeled whole or chopped potatoes are spread around the chicken. What you need to cook chicken with mayonnaise and garlic in the oven:

  • 800 g or 1 kg of chicken - everyone can choose what they like: thighs, drumsticks or sliced ​​chicken carcass;
  • 2 large onions;
  • 1 medium or 2 small carrots;
  • several potatoes if desired;
  • greens (parsley, dill);
  • a few tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 1 head of garlic (you can refuse it);
  • 1 ripe tomato;
  • salt and any seasoning (pepper, universal seasoning).

Wash the chicken, cut it into small pieces and rub it with salt, garlic and spices passed through the press. Peel the vegetables, cut the potatoes into circles (not very thin), cut the carrots into slices, onions in half rings, and tomato into large cubes.
