“Prince Caspian” - the second film from the series “The Chronicles of Narnia” by Andrew Adamson. The film is based on the book of the same name by Clive Lewis. The main characters are the Pavensi family, the prince and the powerful Leo Aslan. The film received positive reviews from critics and a multi-million army of fans.
Idea of design
The film “Chronicles of Narnia: The Prince of Caspian” was a continuation of the film “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”. The actors who took part in the filming remained the same as in the first part. The film was released in 2008. Reviews of the movie exceeded all expectations. Critics took the film positively. The press responded with a large number of articles in newspapers and magazines. After the release of the film, fans opened fan communities dedicated to actors and the film crew. The feedback from the young fans was heartfelt, which influenced the release of two more films from the Narnia series. Motion picture genre: adventure fantasy. World fees almost doubled the film’s budget.

The main operator was appointed Karl Walter Lindenlaub. The composer is Harry Gregson-Williams, who already collaborated with the director of the film in their joint early projects. The director was Andrew Adamson, behind whose masterpieces of world animation such as "Shrek" and "Puss in Boots". He also performed as a screenwriter with Christopher Marcus, Stephen McPheeley. But the main plot is taken from a fantasy book published in 1951 by the famous writer Clive Staples Lewis. Before filming the film “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”, the actors should have known thoroughly not only the script of the film, but also the book of K.S. Lewis.
Talented writer
Clive Staples Lewis is an Irish and English writer. He gained fame thanks to Christian apologetics and medieval literature. His first work was a collection of poems "The Oppressed Spirit", released in 1919. In 1923, he graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree. The writer remains to work in the same educational institution as a teacher of philology. Two years later he goes to work at Magdalena College. In 1926, Lewis published another collection of poems called "Dimer". The writer was a member of the British Academy. The main glory he brought the cycle of books "The Chronicles of Narnia."

After graduating from university, Clive Staples Lewis worked as a teacher, combining his profession with writing. After a series of his successful works, in 1950 the famous writer released the first book from the series “The Chronicles of Narnia” - “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”. According to the author’s intention, the book tells about four children: Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Pter. In one of their adventures, friends find a wardrobe. The thing turns out to be magical and leads to a fairyland called “Narnia”.

The state creeps under the rule of the evil White Witch. Four friends break the spell thanks to the great Leo Aslan and other residents of Narnia. They liberate the state from evil spells, realizing an ancient prophecy. After the overthrow of the sorceress, nature comes to life and the hundred-year-old winter ends. After the tremendous success of the first book, a year later the author publishes the second part of Prince Caspian. Children who become fans of books about Narnia require continuation. Clive Staples Lewis launches one book a year. Between 1950 and 1956 he wrote seven books. For the final work, The Last Battle, Lewis was awarded the Carnegie Prize. Having starred in the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, the actors were proud that the founder of the great idea of Narnia was the talented writer Clive Staples Lewis.
Story line
More than 1300 years have passed since the first part. In the fabulous kingdom of Narnia, a tough, alarming time has come. The power of the state was captured by ruthless telmarins. They destroyed most of the true inhabitants of Narnia. And the rest - driven to live in an impenetrable thicket of forest and inaccessible mountains. Prince Caspian is the only heir to the throne. He watches the brutal actions of his uncle Miraz, played by Sergio Castellitto. One of the nights at the Uzutrap Miraz a long-awaited son is born. After this, Prince Caspian decided to kill. His teacher Dr. Cornelius warns of the impending danger. Caspian escapes into the forest, meeting the red and black gnomes. Caspian blows the Magic Horn, calling for the help of kings and queens from another world. The heroes of the first book, Lucy, Peter, Edmund and Susan, fall into their former kingdom. Before them becomes the task - to save the fairy kingdom.
Fierce battle
High King Peter decides to win a quick victory over the Telmarines. He is warned and discouraged, but he gathers an army and attacks the castle. He is helped by griffins, who on their wings throw soldiers inside the castle into enemy territory. Mice and gnomes remain for sabotage. Strong, powerful centaurs and minotaurs act as the main power. Edmund, played by Scandar Keynes, must shine a flashlight on one of the towers of the castle, marking the stages of the enemy army. But Peter fails the operation.
Caspian frees the teacher and learns from him that his uncle killed his father. In a fit of revenge, he bursts into the chambers of his evil uncle. At this point, the operation ceased to be sudden. Miraz gathers an army. And Edmund, in spite of all the warnings, lets the Narnians into battle. The Telmarines close the bridge and the gate, after which the Narnians are trapped. Thanks to the heroic act of the minotaur, keeping the gate open, the main characters manage to retreat.
Duel of Warlords
After an unsuccessful battle, discord occurs. Caspian succumbs to the persuasion of the black gnome Nicabrick, played by Warwick Davis, to resurrect the evil White Witch. But Peter and Edmund stop the ceremony. Heroes take refuge in the Aslanovo mound. The Telmarines are about to defeat the Narnians. An army, armed with weapons and armor, approaches their camp. To delay the time of the battle, Uncle Caspian is offered to arrange a duel of the military leaders.
Miraz agrees to fight to the death with Peter. The army of the victorious king will have to lead the state of Narnia. Peter wins, refusing to kill Miraz, giving this right to Caspian. But the prince is puny. He leaves his uncle alive. But after the battle, the Lord stabs Miraza, proclaiming that the Narnians did it. By his action, he initiates a fierce battle. When Berunsky Brody begins the second stern battle.
Battle outcome
Narnians trap the first squad of Telmarines. But catapults with stone cores are gradually destroying the Narnians. Enemies destroy the entrance to the castle and begin the offensive. Narnians go to the "last battle". The massive army of Miraz surpasses the army of the Narnians in numbers and weapons.
At this time, Lucy, played by Georgie Henley, is looking for the Great Lion in the forest. Aslan revives trees. Powerful roots kill the Telmarins, destroying weapons and catapults. The new leader of the Telmarines leads the army to the water. But there the enemies are met by a powerful Leo with Lucy. With one roar, he calls for a sea deity to fight the enemies. It washes the telmarins off the bridge and ends the battle. The Narnians win.
The final
Heroes are sincerely glad to Leo - King of Kings. Caspian inherits the throne and becomes the rightful ruler. He gives the right to live in the country to the Narnians, proclaiming peace and friendship. The mighty Leo invites the Telmarines, who do not want to live with the Narnians, to leave for another world. He sends enemies to the island through the created portal. Lucy says goodbye to the red gnome, with whom she managed to make friends with Leo Aslan. Susan, played by Anna Popplewell, kisses Caspian for the first time. The lord of the forest returns the Pavensi family back to their world. They find themselves on the platform of the London Underground.

Aslan is an incomparable and powerful lion. He has a golden mane and wool. He is the central hero in all the books and films of the Chronicles of Narnia series. His amber-colored eyes mesmerize and attract everyone like a magnet. He comes to the heroes during their tribulations. The Lord of the Forest is the majestic son of the Emperor-Over-Sea, the creator of the world of Narnia. In the first part, Leo heroically dies, sacrificing himself. After that, he resurrects, becoming even stronger and more powerful. He helps friends free Narnia from the evil spell of the witch. In the second part, Leo frees the state from the Telmarines. Helps Caspian X, played by Ben Barnes, become king of a fairyland. In the third part, Leo meets on the path of the “Vanquisher of the Dawn”. In the Silver Armchair, the King of Kings entrusts the task of Jill Pole to find the only heir to the throne - Prince Rilian.

In the fifth book, the Emperor’s son, Overseas, helps Shasta protect the state from the Tarkhists and get home safely. The sixth part presents Aslan with other unforgettable adventures. He recalls how he created Narnia and helped friends protect her from the evil sorceress. In "The Last Battle", he arranges the beginning of the End of the World. Leo conducts the Last Judgment, dividing the inhabitants of the state into main and others. He sends good heroes to true Narnia, and others to the ordinary world. He takes away their gift of speaking and thinking. In the finale, Aslan turns into something so wonderful and wonderful that the author does not dare to describe it. The role of Aslan in the film was voiced by Liam Neeson. The imitator of the lion was the character Stebaslo in the parody film “A Very Epic Movie”. After filming the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, the actors called the parody a miserable fake.
