Among all the drugs existing today, lytic mixtures do not last. They are used as an antipyretic, but only in emergency cases, when you need to quickly bring down the heat.
The composition of the lytic mixture on temperature for children
Many parents do not always know what this drug is. Let's try to lift the veil of secrecy.
Lithium mixtures include three components.
- Analgin. Its amount is 50%. The antipyretic properties of this substance have long been known to everyone. In this composition, he plays his usual role. Namely: struggling with temperature.
- Diphenhydramine (1% in the mixture). This drug enhances the effect of analgin. In addition, it acts as an anti-allergic agent. Sometimes diphenhydramine is replaced with suprastin or tavegil.
- Papaverine (0.1% in the mixture). This is an antispasmodic drug. His tasks include the expansion of blood vessels and increase heat transfer. Thus, the action of the main component (analgin) is enhanced.
Sometimes a lytic mixture is used in tablets. All of these drugs are ground into powder and taken orally. However, it should be noted that the effectiveness of the mixture in tablets is much lower. That is, of course, there will be an improvement, but this will not happen immediately.
Lithium mixes for adults
Along with children, this tool is sometimes used by adults.
At the same time, the lytic mixture in tablets for the older generation has a completely different composition:
- Baralgin.
- No-shpa or papaverine.
- Diazolinum or suprastinum.
All drugs are used in equal amounts - one tablet.
How to use this tool

For adults, slightly different requirements. Here the dosage depends on the weight. If your weight is 60 kg, then the following proportions will be ideal: 2 ml of dipyrone and papaverine and 1 ml of diphenhydramine. For every 10 kg of weight, 0.1 ml of solution is added.
Introducing lytic mixtures is required in a single syringe intramuscularly. As a rule, the effect is achieved within 15 minutes.
Contraindications
Despite all its magical properties, sometimes lytic mixes are not recommended. Consider the main points.
- It is not allowed to use this composition at a low temperature - 37.5 or 38 degrees. The fact is that the onset of heat is an indicator that the body is struggling with temperature. Applying lytic mixtures constantly, you can violate the immune system and provoke colds. This remedy is used only in emergency cases.
- It is undesirable to use this mixture if before that you have taken any drug from its constituents. For example, analgin. In this way, an overdose can be caused.
- You can not take lytic mixtures if you are tormented by pain. For example, cutting in the stomach. This is explained by the fact that you may have a concomitant disease. For example, appendicitis. Such an injection will not only relieve pain, but also dull the symptoms, and therefore, the disease will be launched.
- The use of this composition is unacceptable if the child has an allergy to one of the components. To test the reaction to the drug, it is enough to instill a few drops under the lower eyelid. If the baby felt a burning sensation and itching, it means that taking the drug is impossible.
As you can see, lytic mixtures have a pronounced effect, but they should be used with caution.
