Those who adhere to a diet can include a treat in the diet, replacing the mayonnaise from the store with homemade. Nutritional value is average, about 155 kcal, depending on the set of products. It will take about an hour and the following ingredients for the quail nest salad:
- Boiled chicken fillet - 500 g.
- Potato Low Starch - 500 g
- Fresh cucumbers - 250 g.
- Onions (any grade of white is desirable) - 150 g.
- Hard-boiled chicken eggs - 5 pcs.
- Hard-boiled quail eggs - 5 pcs.
- Greens, mayonnaise, salt, pepper to taste.
Step-by-step instruction
The first step is to peel the potatoes and turn them into straws using a grater, which is used to make Korean carrots. Rinse chips in cold running water. The higher the starch content in it, the longer it takes to rinse. Now it’s important to dry the straw on a towel, be sure to cover it with another to avoid darkening. It is best to use a deep fryer. But, since this is rare in the home kitchen, you can use a wok or a cast iron with a rounded bottom. You will need so much refined oil so that the potatoes are completely immersed in it. After heating the oil to a white haze, it is necessary to lay the straw in parts so as not to stick together. By stirring with a fork or a special spider, you can achieve a uniform golden color. After waiting for the potatoes to brown, you can unload it with a slotted spoon on a paper towel so that excess fat drains. Do the same with the rest of the chips.
