Tasty soup with canned green peas

Somehow it happened that it was customary to cook soups for the most part from dried peas. This dish is familiar to everyone since childhood and even got the name โ€œmusicalโ€ because of its specific properties. But from the can of delicacy it is customary to prepare salads, the bright and famous representatives of which is New Year's Olivier. But you can cook a delicious pea soup with canned peas.

The first of them was "invented" in Soviet times, when canned food was almost the only product in stores, for which it was not necessary to stand kilometer-long queues. Yes, and they were cheap. But even today this recipe has not lost its relevance, since the soup with canned green peas is not only tasty and healthy, but also cooks extremely simply and quickly. And to spoil it is simply impossible.

To prepare this dish you will need:

  • can of pea brain varieties;
  • a can of canned fish - saury or pink salmon;
  • a bunch of greenery;
  • bell pepper - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • potatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • spice.

My vegetables and we clean. If you are allergic to boiled onions and carrots, you can donโ€™t cut them, but put them in a pan. We need them for smell and taste, and to achieve this result we donโ€™t need to cut them at all. You donโ€™t even have to peel the onion - wash it well, cut off the roots of the roots and send it to a pot of boiling water. Its peel will give the broth a beautiful amber hue. And at the end of cooking, you just catch boiled carrots and onions from the pan and throw them away from sin.

We clean the potatoes, cut them into cubes and also send them to cook. If you chopped carrots, planning to use it in the finished soup, then you can throw all the vegetables at the same time; otherwise, take a short (10-15 minutes) pause between onions with carrots and potatoes.

In the meantime, the vegetables are cooked, cut the greens and peppers and open the cans with canned goods. We bring the potatoes to half-preparedness, if necessary, we catch onions and carrots from the broth and send them fish and peas. You canโ€™t drain the liquid from peas - it will only add aroma and taste to the finished dish. With it, soup with green canned peas will become even more saturated. Bring to a boil and add greens and pepper to the broth. Salt, add a little pepper and bay leaf. Once again, bring to a boil and turn off the stove. All - soup with canned green peas is ready. It can be eaten both hot and cold, since canned food is most often used in chilled form. So you can consider this dish a kind of okroshka.

This soup is not very common in our country because of its somewhat unusual color. It turns green, which does not meet the culinary traditions of Russians. But this is not a reason to refuse to try this dish.

You will need meat or chicken broth, a can of peas, leeks, butter and spices.

Fry the onion sliced โ€‹โ€‹in rings in butter. You can do it right in the pan. Once the onion has a nice golden color, add half the peas and broth. Keep on the stove for about 15 minutes and remove from heat. Now you need to strain the broth and beat the peas with onions in the mixer. If there are problems with the presence of a mixer or a blender, then use the old grandmother's method of making mashed potatoes - a pusher.

We combine all the ingredients again, pour the remaining peas into the pan, put a tablespoon of sour cream, salt, pepper and send to the stove. If you expect to eat the whole soup with canned green peas at once, then you do not need to boil it - just warm it up.

You can serve it with herbs, and the taste will not be damaged by an additional spoon of sour cream already portioned. Enjoy your meal.
