For the sake of this, he, along with the screenwriter, visited the family of cosmonaut Leonov, a space pioneer. The actor and producer claims that he then needed to demonstrate the purity of his intentions to his wife and the illustrious astronaut, so that the conversation turned out to be confidential.

It turned out that the first spacewalk did not develop at all as planned. Abnormal situations arose one after another, and cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and his commander Pavel Belyaev applied all their skills and knowledge to not only survive in the current conditions, but also to successfully complete the task assigned to them. It seems that the actors of the film “Time of the First”, having learned this story of the feat in detail, were able to enter the role with the right vision and mood, which are so necessary in their creative profession.

Evgeni Mironov managed to interest the idea of creating this film by producer Timur Bekmambetov, and after several conversations with the heroes of those significant events, the project began to be put into practice. At the beginning, Sergey Bodrov was invited as a director, however, later it was decided that it would not be he who was making the film, but Yury Bykov. At the first stage of creating the film, the project was controlled by Timur Bekmambetov, but during the filming of the film “Ben-Hur”, his work was transferred to Yevgeny Mironov.

Another scene of the film, Sergei Ageev, was suggested by Dmitry Kiselev, who accepted this proposal on condition that he would be allowed creative freedom. Thus, all the scenes in space and the finale of the films were entrusted with shooting to this particular director, behind whom he worked on the films "Fir-trees", "Black Lightning". The producers later decided that he would re-shoot the scenes created by director Yuri Bykov. This actually meant that Dmitry Kiselev transferred to his post.

Who and how played Korolev, Pavel Belyaev and Leonov’s wife

The scientist Sergey Korolev was performed by actor Vladimir Ilyin. Dmitry Kiselev says that the change of director was a difficult test for this actor, who was used to taking on the role only after a preliminary reading of the script. Here, at times, they brought him the text of the role only on the day of filming. According to the director, nevertheless they managed to work together in the end, after Vladimir Ilyin “had confidence in him”. Externally, the actor does not look like Sergei Korolev, but those who knew this famous scientist and leader personally spoke out that no one would play this role better than Ilyin. However, Alexei Leonov noted that Korolev was not so slow, but otherwise the image is close. The legendary astronaut does not agree with the fact that in one of the scenes the film shows Brezhnev's dismissive attitude towards the Queen, which, according to him, could not really happen, since the scientist enjoyed the "highest authority" among the leaders of the USSR.

Konstantin Khabensky played astronaut Pavel Belyaev. The actor of the film “Time of the First” (2017) says that it was easier for him than Evgeny Mironov, because he did not communicate with his prototype (cosmonaut Pavel Belyaev died in 1970), and therefore had the opportunity to dream.
